Apparently prt 9’s JoJo is
a descendant of the Part 8 Joseph Joestar counterpart we met at the end of JoJoLion
yeah i read that too, pretty curious about it and how it might relate to parts 7 & 8

i know people think one of josuke's last lines about the fruit existing on the islands to south will be relevant but it's so hard to say with araki lol

also wonder if araki will be continuing the trend of bringing back characters and antagonist stands from the original universe

it’s very odd, there’s this whole theme of the importance and contrast between the land and sea that started in Part 7 (the holy corpse even merges the two near the end of the manga as the ocean begins to get sucked in), Gappy being the bridge between both of those worlds, Tooru and his people drawing power from the land and Tooru ruining Rai’s life to seize his land etc

having time away from JJL now I feel like it’s some galaxy brain shit but the least approachable of any part he’s written. like Tooru coming in so late with bizarre and inscrutable motives that only make sense if you try to make sense of him wearing teddy bears and how it applies to that symbolism Araki was building up. I really have no clue what he’s doing, other than he’s dropping signs he had a general idea about this since Part 7. It gets hard to truly find things that are strange as you get older, but somehow Araki managed to outdo himself on all levels in that regard

once again just for a reminder

gonna say that people sleep on jojolion, the final arc makes the series reach arguably top 5 jojo series in quality, araki build up the hype for that series, really good

when

part 7 and part 8 get animated

people gon lose it, cuz even in this new reboot jojo universe era, jojo is still jojo

so araki is definitely carrying on the Paupau New Guinea plotline that was mentioned here and there in JJL

already seeing people go nuts over who's on the boat lol

i'm nervous about how they'll end up animating 7, but i can't wait until they do jojolion in the next 20 years.

Favorite Part?
Favorite Jojo?
Favorite Big Bad?
Favorite side character (good)?
Favorite side character (bad)?

Expectations? Hopes? Still following Part 8?
Part 4.
Joseph/Josuke.
Kira.
Rohan Kishibe.
Keijo Nijimura.

Gonna say, the new Part looks dope. I hope we‘ll see Rohan again or maybe Giorno since I can see them having managed to travel to the next universe.

technically the SBR universe is a separate one from the one the part 6 one got reset into

but I do hope we will see some new takes on old faces like SBR did, JJL didn’t do much of that
