KOF 98 is one of the GOATs. If I had to add another fighter to my list it would be 98.

Gotcha force to this day is my favorite game of all time.

Other top favorites include Super robot wars Alpha 3 , Digimon cyber sleuth , Xenoblade,Xenoblade X , The world ends with you , Pokemon black/white , Lost Kingdom.

Disquiet

deeply unsettling
The only truly bad Sonic Games are Shadow The Hedgehog, Sonic The Hedgehog 2006, Sonic Boom: Rise Of Lyric, and Sonic Forces.
I'll admit to having a soft spot for all of those in one way or another (Shadow is a playable mess, I kind of like some of Silver's and Shadow's stuff in '06, I honestly love the Boom aesthetic and writing, and I think Forces' setting had promise) but they're all a lot worse than Heroes for sure.

The only genuinely unsalvageable Sonic game IMO was Sonic Blast (on the Game Gear). It looks and plays like a bad bootleg.

Honestly there are a lot of games I haven't played and wish I had a long time ago. But of the things I have played, I'll phrase it like this:

Pokemon (the first two gens) was absolutely a product of my childhood, and just the sheer impact of it all in it's early years kinda goes without saying.

My late teen years is a time where I really discovered youtube, let's play, and a little game people were emulating called MOTHER 3. This also came around a time in my life where a very important person in my life passed on, and well let's just say the game spoke to me on that level.

And in my adult years is when I started discovering the more obscure Japanese RPG-maker horror games. And one that stuck out to me was Mogeko Castle. One that, at times is almost parodical to those horror tropes themselves with how over the top it can be. And yet at the same time it managed to still be disturbing on it's own. In fact, one of the first bad ends you can get in the game, I was greatly taken aback. Like "wow, that actually fucking happened...". I think this more hit me in the realm of remembering that I do still have empathy as a person.
