Sounds about par with the course for modern reviews. You have a lot of them trying to seem pc and end up reviewing it on terms of that versus the actual quality of the film itself.
Eh when generally there is a massive divide between fans/film audiences vs movie critics, the former tend to be more trustworthy and legitimate then critics. A major notable and recent example is how many film critics and reviewers were quite UPSET at Kong vs Godzilla because it was more popular and blew out Wonder-Woman's sequel.

That's their own fault. You don't go looking for too much in a giant monster smash flick.

It was alright, I wouldnt watch it a second time though

Mostly since a lot of the structure of the movie is built around the twist that Black Adam's Son was the Champion, and gave Black Adam his own powers to save his life right before being assassinated. Also the Hawkman death fakeouts to only have Dr Fate die was effecitve since Hawkman was waving as many death flags as possible, but probably wouldnt work the second time.

Hawkman and Dr Fate honestly were some of the best parts of this movie

It was type booty tbh; it was good here and there, but the acting from the kid and citizens was terrible. Not only did it feel rushed, but Dr. Fate's acting was also caca poo poo :scust

Instead got a movie with The Rock trying to be a bad guy for the "first time" in his acting career as if Doom 2005 never happened.

Oh I am more than certain he wishes it was so... but I remember, I remember everything.
