    Super Robot Wars: Calamitous Dawn

The clash between the Raptor and the Gundam was... Not going as planned for both sides. The biomechanoid was struggling to get one of its foot-claws into the cockpit block as it locked its jaws on mobile suit's neck joint to hold it in place, keeping it from using its vulcans to shred its face. Meanwhile Helen was doing her hardest to stop the beast's talons from finding their mark all while trying to shove one of her beam sabers into the beast's belly, but the mecha-beast's surprisingly long forelimbs were not making that easy, as they were stronger than they looked and were wrangling and wresting away the Gundam's left arm, but only just as its plasmic shaft was uncomfortably close to making contact with the mecha-beast's flank. During that moment, where the struggle seemed to be at an unstable equilibrium, poised to shatter the moment for either one of the two combatants to make a move and press their advantage, no matter how slight. It is the Gundam who seizes the initiative...

The Xenos behind that 'ryder' clicked his tongue, remaining somewhat professional and calm to transmit some confidence and avoid major panic within the ship. As the mental message reaches through to that pilot, Valrin can feel the sheer discomfort Vicious had. It was apparent he was not a big fan of having his mind probed and such. With a sigh, he speaks. "First things first, I do not appreciate the mental intrusion. Please step down." He spoke. Perhaps fully aware that he could communicate himself with thoughts alone, but opting not to do so: Using his robot's speakers instead. The psyker barely had any time to decide whether or not he was going to respect this request. The very next moment, something feels amiss. As Vicious' own resolve surfaces out, it was almost as if it took the shape of a metaphysical bastion. One that fully encompassed the alien's very essence and completely severed his connection with the Empyrean that lies beyond. The 'soul signature' the Ignus was...

Kazuki himself, had a somewhat puzzled mien to his demeanor. His shoulders were shrugged, and in his gaze, one could tell he was a little bit lost on how to place any input on the conversation at hand. Mechanical and engineering expertise were still quite far beyond his reach. Instead, he attempted to turn his focus into Daniel and Asaga. "Come on now. Math is not all that bad. It's good mental exercise to munch some numbers every once in a while." A timid chuckle follows his affirmation.

    Super Robot Wars: Calamitous Dawn

Closing in on the incoming Mechasaur as she dodged and shot down its missiles with the head vulcans, it didn't take long for Helen and her challenger to get visual contact with one another, revealing the raider as a raptor with a pair of flight or rather a thruster pack on its back that was sending it hurtling across the alpine plains at several hundred kilometers an hour with rollerbladed talons. Opening fire with the beam rifle the moment she got a radar lock on the beast, the mechasaur suddenly jinks to the side a moment before Helen pulled the trigger, cleanly dodging the lancing beam before returning fire with a short burst of heat-seeking missiles from its thruster pack and then following it up with a spray of particle pulses from an arm-mounted rotary gun, that while individually much weaker than her beam rifle's own shots, more than compensates with a ferocious rate of fire. The Gundam itself, and its pilot, did not let themselves be outdone by the reptilian raider. With a...

Finally, one last pilot disembarks. Patching through the communications for adequate assistance, Kazuki's VARG copacetically makes its way along the hallways of the Sunrider's hangar bay. Once the robot was put to rest on its allocated spot, the hatch slides open by partitioning in half and sliding away horizontally. The psychic scout hops out of the seat into the docking bridge, and calmly makes his way to gather up with the others. "Ah, there we are." He comments upon coming across Daniel and Liam. They were being reached out into by a blonde male of a fairly slender build. The tone of his voice was just the right amount of soft. That, along with his overall relaxed and slightly laid back mien, may give the impression he falls quite short of the stern and respect-demanding image expected of a supposed army corporal. Kazuki couldn't have been older than twenty five. His long hair was arranged in a single thread of braid that ends roughly at the length of his solar plexus.

    Super Robot Wars: Calamitous Dawn

Getting left all alone with Gabriella and the Gundam prototype after the super robots and that other Gundam took the fight away from the rest of the base, Helen finally noticed just how painful getting stabbed was after the adrenaline wore off. Fighting the urge to puke from the stress and agony, her mechanic leans intimately close to the side of the pilot's head, placing both hands on her shoulders and pressing their cheeks together for a moment. "You're gonna be fine Helen, you're stronger than this." She reassures, with a charming wink. Though an incredibly questionable method of reassurance, it worked somewhat. Helen found the pain slightly dull, and her mind clear up for the situation in front of them. It was almost as if her body was obeying what her mind wanted, something that she had only managed to do on very rare occassions. And just in time for her Gundam's radio to crackle to life, bringing in rather unfortunate news; not just for her, but for all the defenders...

    Super Robot Wars: Calamitous Dawn

The duo occupying the cockpit of the RX-78 were struck dumb, unable to quite to process what had just happened to the Wing Freedom. Not a second was spared to see if the man they had just met had fared well against the attack before Helen's attention was drawn into the sky above. Acting underneath the impulse of her unconscious reactions, her fingers danced along the controls as soon as the smallest glimpse of hostile movement was caught. It resulted in the Gundam getting a move on. A loud hissing blast is emanated by the jetpack to the blast of the backpack thrusters, resulting in the white devil displacing itself from side to side, deftly dodging the aim of the surprise assailant with a combination of incredibly fancy footwork, crouching and weaving. Even though the overall mobility of this Gundam was not particularly impressive, even when compared to a TSF; the way it changed directions in an instant and the fluidity of its movements and acrobatics could strike envy on the most...

    Super Robot Wars: Calamitous Dawn

Helen responds with the same neutral, diplomatic tone as earlier. Broken only by her unsteady, labored breathing. "We don't have the time to explain. You're on Free Pact Alliance territory, Or FPA for short. Our base is under attack by unidentified infiltrators. If you do not associate with them, either leave immediately or try and help contain the situation before more good people die."

""Earth Union Federation"? Is that what you OMNI Cabrons are calling yourselves now? At least you gringos are being honest about your intentions for the rest of the world this time. But too little too late..." As some of the invaders the Gundam was pursuing either end up getting shot down, caught in collateral damage or scurrying away into tight places where something as large could not reach, it then turns attention towards the other Gundam. A sigh was heard over the line, clearly belonging to someone else other than the hostile Hispanic. It was Helen's. Her tone sounded much more neutral in comparison to the hostility implied with her companion, but she sounded strained and rather short of breath, indicating that she wasn't at the best of shape to Daniel. "Attention, pilot of the unidentified Gundam. You are within our restricted airspace, so it is you who must provide proper ID." Helen requested, pondering the possibility that they must be dealing with another one of these...

    Super Robot Wars: Calamitous Dawn

Barely avoiding yet another projectile from her phantom pursuer as she rounded a corner at full speed, nearly tripping over herself in her haste; Helen was vaguely aware of where her maddened dash was taking her: Towards the hangars. In her fear and panic induced hysteria, she had the idea that if she somehow managed to get aboard a TSF or the Gundam prototype, then she might be able to defend herself. She was not exactly competent in fighting on foot, and she had come to learn the hard way that the most straightforward path to the alarms was blocked off by other spooks, who took the time from whatever horrible things they were doing to take potshots at her from a distance. With her only option being the hangar, Helen was forced to sprint in that direction, barely avoiding certain death several times, much to the frustration of her furtive pursuers. If there was anyone else to see this, they would most likely call it a series of flukes. As another silenced gunshot is heard, this...

    Super Robot Wars: Calamitous Dawn

The purple haired woman had barely parted with her associate just now. Inquietitude shrouds her mind with no explanation. The tingling sensation of cold sweat dripping from her forehead and running down her brow reflexively forced her to wipe it off with her hand. Looking out of a window, she caught a corner glimpse of a set of lights suddenly going off. Her face contorted and eyes blinked with suspicious doubt. Helen remained froze in place for five seconds, until finally snapping back to reality by shaking her head. Gaze now turned back towards this hallway. The feeling of uneasiness was amping up fast. And so she backtracks her way with a fast pace, looking for that guard. Perhaps she could formulate an excuse to have him keep her company even if just for a while. Judging by his route, he must have probably went outside. The door was left open after all. Following her hunch, Helen approached the open door and leaned outside to see if she could find him there. "Hello?"...

    Super Robot Wars: Calamitous Dawn

There was no time to ponder. No time to stop and appreciate. As the junior Magos made their stand, Kazuki's robot rushed right by. The context of the situation failed to sink in until the scout was safely outside. At that point, he paused his movements to spare a single look at the scene of the Magos getting disemboweled by a lustful demon, to the sounds of her sensual moans as her claws sank into her chest and ripped flesh and bone apart. This scene... It triggered something within him, something that he rarely if ever expresses: Rage. Kazuki himself used to frequent questionable websites back in his world when he was but a college student. Putting it bluntly, pornographic sites. Still did to this day, but much more occasionally by comparison. The sight and sound reminded him of a particular type of degenerate fetish he had encountered during his adventures. One that twisted his stomach in disgust. Even moreso when he remembers there are, in fact, people out there with the...

    Super Robot Wars: Calamitous Dawn

As the night fell upon Thalerhof, heralding the end of the day and the time for rest, Helen had laid on her bunker bed for hours in a fitful slumber. She spent hours drifting in and out of sleep, fading into calm, blissful oblivion one moment and then staring at the ceiling the very next, writhing and twisting beneath her sheets as drowsiness and restlessness fought a fearsome duel in the recesses of her brain. After about the third time she woke up, she attempted counting sheep and thinking of utterly boring things like math problems, taking deep, calming breaths in order to ease her agitation. But it was all for naught. She was wide awake by now and it'll take hours again for her to feel like sleeping again. What to do? As she sits up, a long huff escaping through her lips, she decided to go for some fresh air, leaving the room with caution as to not wake anybody up. Except as soon as she steos outside the sleeping quarters, she remembers the horrific nightmare had the night...

    Super Robot Wars: Calamitous Dawn

As he's gotten a solid hold of himself, as well as properly regulating his psychic energy output, Kazuki's mind wrestled against the mild confusion and the blaring headache with much greater success after he had found a proper exit route to bolt into. That is, only after he properly assessed the situation with the other man also left behind: William 'Liam' Tinmall. And so he did. The Shibuki's cameras were turned over it's own shoulder to take a look at the Null. The creatures still swarmed the machine relentlessly. Kazuki felt compelled to help. One of his hands began to move towards the controls as if to prompt his VARG to draw the plasma blade and get in close and personal to help Liam, but... The chances of excessively large collateral damage were way too great. The assault rifle was not a good option either, since the creatures latching onto the Null were way too small and he didn't appear too confident on his psychic abilities to guide his aim proper in this situation. On...

    Super Robot Wars: Calamitous Dawn

"Oh... God. Fucking. Dammit!" Kazuki choked out a series of guttural cries of pain as his mind and head burned from their very cores at the face of such a psionic onslaught he had never before faced. Yet, the movement of his hands and fingers on the Shibuki's controls remained undeterred as his machine swung about its limbs and ran for it, stepping on and swatting away the "shapes" attacking his VARG, causing their amorphous forms to scatter and fade like smoke and for the damage alerts to steadily reduce in frequency. His eyebrows frowned, eyelids hard pressed against his throbbing eyes as if trying to soothe them, to no avail. With danger threatening to advance from every direction and cut him off all exits at any moment, he knew he had to act using his genetically gifted resilience to defy the odds and make a clean escape. The prospect of having to find a way out of a gigantic ship's hallways with little to no indication of where to go was no problem. However, it was one of...

    Super Robot Wars: Calamitous Dawn

Kazuki was fast to pick up on Daniel's signature and using him as a beacon to reach the others. Luckily, the prospect of navigating a long maze of corridors if need be didn't faze him in the slightest. He would eventually be able to find his way back and maneuver with confidence unless something happened to interrupt the flow of his movements. All the while, he tried to skim through his thoughts in order to figure out what to say... To not much avail. "Daniel? I apologize immensely. It's just... The visions. I've seen some stuff. I'm not sure how to explain exactly what I've seen on that devil knight's memories. And the situation is pretty unfortunate. I'm recovered and willing to help in any way I can now."

    Super Robot Wars: Calamitous Dawn

Unfortunately the moment the young psion tried to access the data he had gathered on the demon knight, the data instead came to him; forcibly assailing his mind with visions of carnage and murder, of blood, skulls and rage unending, and all of it, all of the heinous violence it was done by his own hands and seen through his own eyes! At this moment Kazuki realized that was witnessing the memories of the Knight, while he was privy to only a fraction of the thousands upon thousands of years of the demon's existence of endless battle and bloodshed, the experience was so vivid and raw that the psion's body was unconsciously copying the movements depicted in the memories; causing his VARG to aimlessly stumble about like a drunkard and by the time the demon had been vanquished, Kazuki found himself deeper in the enginarium and with a trail of mangled machinery behind him. All of a sudden, Kazuki found himself awakening in the darkness. That was strange... Was he not fighting a giant...

    Super Robot Wars: Calamitous Dawn

Oddly enough, over the course of the battle so far, Kazuki had maintained himself nearly entirely idle. When the hell knight first initiated hostilities against his erstwhile companions, the urge to jump in and directly aid in battle was there. But instead, he chose to resist such an urge and simply observe in the background. It was an enemy he's never dealt with before after all, and as a scout, his primary role was usually to sit back, observe, collect data and conclude the extent and the effects of an enemy's arsenal and battle assets. It had paid off somewhat, as he now had a clearer picture regarding what he was dealing with, and what all these 'daemons' were about. Perhaps at the cost of his mental well-being, as registered by the fact his head was on fire. On the outside, he appeared perfectly calm and collected with not a single sign of breaking down or inability to perform, but on the inside, the pain of his headache was nearly immeasurable as he had looked at something...

    Super Robot Wars: Calamitous Dawn

Kazuki had been following the team through their venture into the ship in silence. The apparent risk involved with taking on this corruption of nature unknown to him made it incredibly risky for him to use his abilities into their full extent, choosing instead to concentrate on his psychic defense as he remained tense and quick on his feet inside his VARG's cockpit. Considering progress involved taking a clearly misleading bait into a potential ambush. There was barely any time to investigate or even process the poor tortured sod crucified into the floor before he received the mental warning. An unnecessary one, given the full context of the situation they were on, but well appreciated nonetheless. In the very next instant, there was a blunt disturbance to be sensed in the air, almost as if a very heavy object was flung in their general direction. The Shibuki instantly pivots in its feet, turning around to check for the source only for Kazuki to catch a glimpse of the enormous...

    Super Robot Wars: Calamitous Dawn

Once more, Kazuki found himself eerily and silently hyper-absorbed into the matter at hand: To analyze the placement and the patterns of the corruption attempting to limit test and figure out an exact route to proceed upon, as well as pierce through the corruption with his mystical vision to glimpse at the psi prints of any survivors inside. And yet again, his attention was sufficiently torn away from the matter at hand. He would have properly greeted the newcomer were the situation a tad bit calmer, but there was simply no time and effort to spare. Analyzing the massive and nonsensical mess that was the corrupting aura proved to be a daunting task, but one Kazuki wasn't backing down from in spite of the new interferences. It was quite necessary on his perception. As soon as the new machine's rifle flashed like lighting off the holster and the knight scion made their offensive move against the nonsensical torment meshed together into the shape of a blob, he would make sure to note...
