Most of the stuff included is tied to specific events, things that were said or silly measures that were introduced and generally poking fun at the shit we had to deal with for 2 years which was basically the inspiration behind writing the game and being based on some of the stuff that were kind of in-jokes with a lot of members of the section etc.

There is no real poking fun at covid itself or it's victims of course, and in fact the only real time the disease itself enters the flavour is the fact that the recruitment flavour is to be infected. That said, I would not begrudge anybody not playing this game if they are sensitive towards the subject and think it may trigger them. In fact, I'd encourage them not to play if that's the case.

I'm not trying to upset anybody or hurt their feelings etc, but for a lot of us we went through a lot during this time when it comes to dealing with restrictions that none of us wanted to, not seeing people and all sorts of shit, so we poke fun and let off some steam etc.

Now that you've explained the premise of the game a bit more, it does sounds like a fun way to let off some steam! Count me in then as a sub, last resort kinda sub sammich deal, ya feel me? :mhm I'm dealing with Milton atm, though not directly in the line of fire, but close enough to be on edge in case that mf does some last min sneaky scum sussy shit... :tchpepe

I'm sorry to hear this, Guillo. I also lost family to the disease, and I imagine most of us suffered mentally as well. If I may offer a different perspective here, I think it's important to be able to humour to tragedy and hard times. Obviously, you've gone through a very difficult, personal loss, and that isn't a process that ever really ends. In humour, we can see the better times ahead, as we look back on a particularly dark period of our lives. Personally, and by no means am I saying you must follow this either, but I think it can really help the grieving process by adding some light touches to the whole ordeal. Maybe that's just the Brit in me being stuck in my ways. But that's why I think Covid should not be "off-limits" - not to suggest that no limits should ever exist, but that it can help others reconcile that period in a more positive way going forward.

Obviously, you know your limits and where you're at with this far better than I do. So if you feel like this is too soon for you, I absolutely respect that. But I hope my post helps to perhaps illustrate that there is value and sincerity to this on the other side of the fence too, and maybe, in time, we'll be able to take the rawness out of those 2 years. All the best, and hope to see you in the next game.
