I mean, this only holds if you think the only way you can "do damage" is to personally lead the lynches that you help set up. It's obviously nonsense, especially when you consider that I had to change course pretty swiftly day 2 to reconcile something out of the game. For example, Flower going over instead of Watson Day 2 was very good for us, even if she was essentially outed Day 3, because there was a good chance town just keep Flower around to force her to town side, and getting the lynch helps put the pressure on town. I don't think Ichigo gets lynched if I didn't position myself to look like a team mate of him.
But you seem to have this arbitrary definition of "damage", and anything that doesn't fit inside that is a failure of process or something lmao. I don't recall you holding these sentiments otherwise too, hence my suspicion that it may have been motivated by something else. You say it's not, and I accept that, just want to outline how I'm coming to that conclusion originally.
