this is Jiraiya in Sage Mode and a Healthy Orochimaru

not using Boruto clones or continuity.

IIRC they're considered fairly even in base by statements but Sage Mode would put it in Jiraiya's favor

Orochimaru kinda got a raw deal (not that he didn't deserve it)

What’s the strongest version of Jiraya and Orochimaru currently? Did Orochimaru get buffs in Boruto? I recall one of the characters being a a Jiraiya clone but I could be misremembering

The Naruto Community is filled with Headcanon. I think the base series made it prety obvious Jiriya was stronger.

Itachi and Kisame know when they're outmatched quality wise it's why they didn't fight Guy either
