Seems we might be living in a viral universe?

Big if the implications hold up to further scrutiny.

Then again the idea of a largely microbial/viral universe has been around for a while and makes the most sense to me.

Life is easy to develop, less so to go multicellular/complex and even less so to develop technological intelligence.

The Fermi Paradox relies on the notion that ALL life leads to human-like intelligence which is... certainly an interesting way to view the universe 🤔

But yeah microbial life should be widespread on a universal scale 🦠

Viruses are basically the missing link between chemicals and life.
Not exactly missing but yeah sure.

Whether or not viruses are alive is a troublesome argument. Also we don't know how they first arouse, they might have been one of the first single celled life that decided to "revert" to a more parasitic and simple form attacking other life at the time. So to say they're the link between self-replicating particles and proper life might not be true.
