First attempt at a VS thread here so beware
It's time to see what happens when some of the most devastating Swarms from fiction battle for supremacy on a single planet.
First the rules and restrictions!
Showdown takes place on a single large planet almost identical to Earth complete with its own wildlife (nothing threatening) and human population numbering 10 billion souls scattered all over the surface (damn colonists).
Each Swarm's Hive/Nest/HQ is at a similar distance from the others' and all have a fairly equally large portion of the surface for themselves, about the size of Canada... yes each Swarm has their own Canada.
Noair space support or access to reinforcements from outside the planet.
Neither of the Swarms have access to powers or abilities that are specific for their own settings, they all must abide to real life rules. Exceptions include powers like psychics, telepathy and any other generic and fairly plausible abilities.
Ok now for the Swarms!
Arachnids (Roughnecks variety or the RPG/minuatures ones as I feel the movie ones are the weakest of the bunch)
Xenomorphs
Tyranids (remember no fleet support/reinforcements, what first landed is what's left)
Zerg (same as Tyranids for the rules)
The Flood
Cy-Bugs (from Wreck-It Ralph because even Disney can make a good swarm at least once in their lifetime)
The Many (System Shock 2's Flood except they came first )
Silithid (fantasy's own bug swarm eh?)
Necromorphs (remember no Brethren Moons)
The Machines from The Matrix
Each Swarm starts at the beginning of their life cycle/power and the showdown can begin exactly 3 months after touchdown before that no Swarm can go beyond their Canada landmass cage!
Also to make this more exciting we're not only announcing a winner but I would like each one of you to list which Swarm goes down one after the other until there is only one Hive Mind to rule the planet!
Let The Swarm Wars begin!
