Calc Eureka Seven - Project Orange

Calculations

Project Orange is used to drop special tectonic missiles to penetrate the Scub-Coral and summon a Kute-class coralian as a part of the Ageha Plan. This happens several times. We need to find the distance to the planet. The Eureka Seven planet has a diameter of 13035.5328km, or a radius of 6517.7664km.

R = (h/2) + c^2/(8h)
= (102/2) + 2505^2/(8 X 102)
= 7740.98162 pixels
object degree size = 2*atan(Object_Size/(Panel_Height/tan(70/2)))
= 2*atan(7740.98162/(1772/tan(70/2)))
= 2.24147993 rad
= 128.42733985259778 degrees

Enter this into the angscaler and we have a distance of 1574.4km. Now all we need is the timeframe.

Timeframe is 8 seconds and 8 frames (with a frame rate of 30 frames a second).

T = 1s/30
= 33.3333333ms X 8
= 0.266666666s + 8s
= 8.26666667s

T = 1574.4km/8.26666667s
= 190451.613/340.29
= Mach 559.674434

Final Results
Project Orange missiles = Mach 559.674
