Several calcs from the incredibly important game Maneater.

1. Mako sharks kinetic energy

The game gives us numbers for speed and mass for mako sharks (or at least the mass for the heaviest mako shark), so why not take it? 805 pounds is 365.141858kg and 46mph is 20.56384m/s.

KE = (0.5)mv^2
= (0.5) X 365.141858 X 20.56384^2
= 77204.0454 joules

2. The Shark swims


The Shark with several upgrades swims at high speeds towards her prey.

3. The last stand of Scaly Pete

The shark withstands a multi-gigajoule explosion at point blank unscathed. This would at minimum mean 2 gigajoules, or 0.478011 tons of TNT. At a high end, I will assume 9 gigajoules, or 2.15105 tons of TNT.

4. Bone Sperm Whale destroys pillars


The Bone Sperm Whale destroys the top halves of two underwater pillars. Alas, we have reached the point where the calcs no longer do themselves. The average length of a sperm whale is 16m.

5. Atomic Fins

The Atomic Fins allow the shark to turn into atomic energy. This evolution is only available as a mega, where you can grow up to 10m long (see above). This is far bigger than your average bull shark, so we'll go with inverse-square law to find our mass. The average length and weight of a female bull shark is 2.4m and 130kg respectively.

M2 = (H2/H1)^3*M1
= (10/2.4)^3*130
= 9403.93519kg

For our energy, it says atomic energy, and looking into different ways to calc this (such as nuclear binding energy), the energy to break atoms down into subatomic particles is...E = mc^2.

E = mc^2
= 9403.93519 X 299792458^2
= 8.45183545e20 joules
= 202.00371534416825625 gigatons

Final Results
Mako sharks swimming speed = 20.564m/s
Mako sharks kinetic energy = 77204.045 joules
The Sharks endgame swimming speed = 21m/s
