Honestly, it's extremely stupid HOW they downplay American Comics characters rather than downplay them at all. They aren't just choosing simple moments that is very clear downplay, they are choosing extremely stupid levels of downplay that are ultimately easily explained meanwhile using that as the entire reason why they should be that weak.

A Writer says Superman can't destroy a Planet? Ignore every other feat that has Superman does so or fight one that can do it because that one writer out of hundreds MUST be correct completely.

Mark can't be FTL and Super-Strong, he didn't immediately blitz these people when it was long stated when he holds back, he also slows down(Which is hilariously true in real life).
