Shikai Hyoketsu is not some kind of "attack" that Toshiro is throwing at Lille. Shikai Hyoketsu functions by simply freezing all matter before him down to the fundamental Reishi instantly. It's not a wave of ice, it's not a slash, it's not an ice blast.

Lille's physical body exists as a matter before Toshiro, so it would get frozen. There's no attack for him to just "phase through", Toshiro is not throwing ice at him, he's straight up freezing his body and the fundamental Reishi that it is made of. He's directly affecting the composition of Lille's body rather than attacking it.

All of Shunsui's Bankai stuff worked on him. Even if you discount that as reality wrapping, his own attacks reflected back at him worked on him. Nanao's blade could interact with and cut him. Even if she countered him, it wouldn't be possible if he didn't even exist in a physical form before her.

If Toshiro was to throw a wave of ice at him, it would pass through no doubt. But Shikai Hyoketsu is not a conventional attack that's being thrown to hit Lille; it is literally something that directly affects the fundamental composition of all matter before him. As long as Lille's physical body still exists as a matter, it would work.

Also love how Adult Hitsugaya's attack is totally not conventional (except that it absolutely is) because we have to keep pretending freezing abilities are more complicated than they actually are. Hate to break it to you man but this is one fight Hitsugaya actually does lose 'cause there's nothing he can do here. :maybe

When you have nothing of value to say, the best plan of action is waiting until no one gives enough of a shit to respond to your next rebuttal

Think about it, that little impulse center of his brain tickled him enough, weeks later, to continue carrying on. That’s someone so desperate for the last word they don’t care if they’re spewing bullshit

It took him WEEKS to come up with “you’re younger than 13” to something as stupid as me saying he’s stupid enough to enjoy the taste of crayons. Low effort should match low effort on the same timeline.

my thing at this point is I just can’t believe someone who prides themselves on adhering to science and physics, would not be able to tell day from night. it’s insanity, and his rebuttal is a combination of headcanon and ignoring any other evidence


I’m not the best debater or smartest person, I don’t know the first thing about math and physics, but I like to thing I’m an honest one. I do reevaluate information I bring to the table constantly, and when he claimed the festival happens over one night, I rewatched all relevant clips to be sure and…came to the exact same conclusion as I had before, moreso since I now know the wailing dunes look exactly the same during the day outside the boss as they do during it
