OBD Convo #59: RealxEyes



Triple H, WATCH THIS, realize what you have here and push this man.

Karrion Kross is consistently a highlight whenever he is on TV yet he's struggling to even get SECONDS of screen-time. He's had like TWO matches over the course of the last YEAR. Fucking TWO matches.

Granted he was on Wrestlemania, but in a bit role as part of a match no one really cared about. I didn't even get why he cared so much about AJ vs Logan Paul until I watched THIS just now. If he'd been allowed to say ANY of that before now, there'd have been more interest in the Logan Paul match. Hell people would have been clamouring for Karrion to be facing Paul instead.

Now of course this whole thing could be a work and maybe this is part of the plan to push Karrion going forward but DAMN, as someone whose enjoyed pretty much everything I see of this man on TV, I think he damn well deserves something.
 
Outstanding promo by Cena I will say. Him counting down the dates he has left was good drama and then that appearance by Randy Orton. Who'd have thought I'd be hyped to see that matchup again?

Randy's appearance and RKO was the only good part about that segment for me. The promo was the same tired ass reverse-pandering(shitting on the crowd instead of sucking their dicks) he's been doing since his heel turn, nothing new beyond bringing up the dates(which I'd prefer to be at 0 by now so the fucker would be gone).
 
What was good about it was the introduction of the ticking clock, a tried and true way of creating tension, and set the stakes by saying he'd disappear with the title. So the promo did what it needed to as a narrative technique.

And were it anyone other than a bum(Cena), I'd have given a shit about that narrative technique, instead of just rolling my eyes because I'd prefer buckethead just be gone already.
