"Hmph!" David, having gotten his own free moment, noticed Great Mazinger's attempt. The issue with the robot...It seemed as though the pilot preferred melee, and that it excelled at such, but when situations like this came across, David himself often found it best to have a wide arsenal of guns at the ready...Luckily, such was a thing that David had. With the precision of a sniper, the Wing Freedom's Buster Rifle turned to the lizard monster from long range, firing a wide beam that would catch the missiles before they flew too far, and leading the beam towards the lizard...Few could withstand a direct hit, and this dinosaur would fare no better! This world had all kinds of crazies and freaks, but it was of comfort to David that he could at least put the hurt right back on them.

"Hm-?!" David had to act fast, these dinosaurs were quite trained, for a bunch of ancient lizards...Still, they were competent nonetheless. He'd have to act fast, it'd been quite some time since he'd have such a challenge that wasn't the one man who drove David up the walls. The Wing Freedom switched from Bird Mode to Gundam Mode, but seemed to have hit the brakes. The Gundam seemed to be crushing itself, until it launched up to the skies like a spring! The amount of G-forces David experienced in that moment would do in any normal man...It took David a long time to get it right. Supplementing this evasive action, the Wing Freedom's head and torso lit up as 4 vulcans blitzed the area to catch the missiles as David ascended!

"Let's mop them up quickly, the sooner the better!" David said, breaking off to intercept the Mechasaurs at one of the vectors. He'd have to be quick, but he couldn't afford to be stupid. The Wing Freedom twisted and contorted back into its birdlike flight form! The Gundam let out a sonic boom not long after its transformation as it rocketed to meet the airborne Mechasaurs. David swiftly engaged the Mechasaurs, firing upon them with the Gundam's Vulcans, and more importantly, the Railguns...The speed of the projectile would make it useful to make the Mechasaurs slow down! He'd fire the Railguns at multiple Mechasaurs head-on! "These Dinosaurs...They're relentless and organized. Just how many of them are there?"

"Found you." David was ready now, these dinosaurs flew fast, and he somewhat of a read on them now. David quickly changed to Gundam mode, and fired a volley from the Buster Rifle. The Wing Freedom's twin-eye cameras traced the exhaust and used it to calculate where to shoot to intercept. He dare not take any chances, even if the dinosaurs were fascinating cyborgs, he just didn't have the time to waste studying them in combat. "So long as it's only one." David replied, "I'll let you know if-Er...When I'll require assistance." If there was one, there was most likely more, David had to be ready for the when, not the if.

"I'll investigate." David responded, "Make sure the pilots are received safely." The Wing Freedom flew past the TSFs, almost like it was merely leaning forward rather than flying. David kept his eyes on the radar and switched to the monitors, carefully looking between the two in the event something lashed at him.

"You were right." David remarked, "I expect they're in greater numbers this time." David rushed out of the office and down the hall, pulling his gun and keeping one finger on the safety release, and another squeezing the trigger, just ready and waiting. "Any specific weaknesses to exploit?" David asked the Colonel as they ran, "I'm assuming there's nothing more to it than shooting them down, but, it helps to be in the know."

"Then we better get a move on." David nodded, turning to leave. "Have your troops and civilians ready to evacuate as soon as you can, I'll prepare my Gundam for escort duty." David weighed the variables in his head...These dinosaurs...They were clearly far more organized than David would've expected. They were on a techbase David almost couldn't comprehend...Almost. Judging from how they were regarded...Either they were genuine extraterrestrials, or they had been hiding beneath the surface, advancing, surviving... He'd dealt with cyborgs before, but this...Was something else. It was enhancement in inhuman ways, in both organism and cybernetic. Regardless, he killed one of their kind...He can kill another when need be. He just had to be faster.

"I see." David nodded, "Good. You...Care a lot more than most of those in authority back on my supposed Earth." Seeing such a colonel give a damn...It was enough to move David heart a centimeter...But no more, such good people were fleeting...He couldn't allow himself to get too attached. "Would it be wise to assume this...Dinosaur Empire will be able to make more attacks on this base sooner rather than later?"

"You have a means of transporting all the civilians? And do you have a destination in mind?" David inquired, "I hope so, it won't do to wander aimlessly." David then began to ponder. "...Is there something specific?" He realized, "A specific item or objective the enemy had in mind? Or perhaps...You wish to leave since you doubt that whatever army occupies the base will bother to send reinforcements?" David had little concept of what the militaries of this world were like...But, if the ones he'd had to deal with back home were anything to go by, he understood completely.

"Yet it seems as though you have something that can counter them." David observed, "Otherwise, things would've been far more destructive, even compared to this display." "...And those other machines I saw during the battle...It seems...Almost out of a comic book, far too strange to be real." The masked colonel remarked, "And yet here I am, seeing it with my own eyes...One moment, I was in space, pursuing a fugitive, the next, I'm here...If it wasn't happening to me right now I'd have thought it to be delusions."

David stood, he wasn't used to relaxing very much. Instead, he went over to observe the strange corpse. It was true...The existence of alien life was true... "I'm assuming this is...Part of whatever it was that attacked this base?" David inspected the corpse, "Interesting...I've never seen anything like them...What is it?"

"I've had my fill of harrowing sights of humanity's worst hours...But this...Is different." David remarked, "Far more...Personal." David took in the sights in much detail, but kept his distance, like a twisted art gallery of horror. In his own world, he witnessed the aftermath of Zodiac's barbaric nature dropping space colonies on the planet Earth, unmanned drones moving about to mindlessly slaughter people when the Earth Union Federation's elite forces wanted areas cleaned out. He'd seen the worst...And what he liked to think was the best from both sides...But what he saw here...It was more savage, animalistic, as if someone tore things apart with their hands rather than a weapon. It wasn't impossible to see why, given only less than an hour ago he was fighting a dinosaur cyborg. This...Was an entirely new kind of enemy to humanity, David would have to spend time in this world in order to discern ways of neutralizing this kind of enemy. "At least it'll be a less-than-brief...

"Roger." David nodded. As he followed the soldiers, it was impossible to discern what David was looking at, whether it was the walk ahead, the base around them, or some freakish, soul-piercing gaze, a contrast to the bright and colorful Wing Freedom he climbed out of. It seemed as though the armor hadn't changed to gray...Perhaps he left the Phase-Shift armor on? Was it Trans-Phase Shift? Such answers would have to be found later. David was looking all around his vision for anyone or anything approaching...Regardless of if it was some alternate Earth, there could be anyone still out to get him...Hopefully the likes of Ali hadn't followed him...And it appeared Hans hadn't warped over either...He'd have to find a way back to his home soon, there'd be no telling the amount of mayhem Hans could unleash if unchecked.

David took a long breath...He then holstered a gun in his pocket for good measure, one could never be too certain. The gantry opened, and David came down on a winch built into the cockpit gantry for pilot convenience...The guards would be greeted to the site of the masked man as he touched the ground, the winch retracting and the cockpit closing soon after. The mask made it impossible to discern his face, or even his condition. "I am Colonel David Sullivan."
