I just wanted to recount my experiences with digimon, cause while I can't call myself a digimon fan now, I know I liked digimon as a kid

I watched the original digimon adventures on Netflix, the one with Tai and Alex? I think alex was Garurumon's digidestined. I don't remember anyone else though. Pretty much the only memory I still can recount from the show is Angemon shooting through Tai and Alex to megaevolve Greymon to WarGreymon and Garurumon to MetalGarurumon? I think or was MetalGarurumon his ultimate form? I know MetalGreymon was Greymon's ultimate form but I forgot what Garurumon's was.

I think you mean Tai and MATT (or Taichi and Yamato originally). 
You were right the first time though, MetalGarurumon is his Mega Form, WEREGarurumon (the werewolf one) was his Ultimate form.

I know I also watched tamers I think. Since Tamers was the series where Guilmon was the main digimon right? With Guilmon being created by the digidestined.
I remember stopping at the season with the red robot agumon expy which I only watched like 1 episode of, cause the digimon was annoying and the artstyle and everything about it felt like too much of a departure from past digimon series.
