i mean, since it's unranked i'm fine with not needing one and having it be optional. running into games stacking on top of one another is a problem for later imo
Should probably just nuke this section and go back to it being an overall section with one queue. We will rank the vast majority of games as we are scaling back the trusted host/checking system (tho getting ur game checked is still encouraged and hosts will still have to earn a little bit of trust). We can have the odd unranked game here and there for the bants in the main section.

Agreed, maybe games can just be evaluated on individual basis. Unranked section seems dead here.
We’re gonna be a bit more chill about it, understanding that there might be some shit that falls beneath the cracks so we aren’t gonna be super strict about it any more. That said some hosts that tend to only host SRM/shitshow games will be unranked by default lmao unless they get it checked
I'll consolidate the section but until I know where OLF is headed I'm not going to place alternative games 'under the same roof' entirely. The only real difference would be that unranked will no longer have a subnode. Anything else is just going to come down to a variation of categories, prefixes, and tags.
Separate point system will stay the same because the way points are earned are vastly different from alt games in general and muddying the waters wouldn't do any good.
Points for unranked are naturally going to be of less value and easier to earn whereas ranked is going to be challenging and worth more. (Should probably do some point increases to offset unranked, with ranked points being a minimum of 2.)
For queues, you can decide whether you want to merge them or not. I think just having them share one post under two separate categories is fine.
