But for my serious answer, I liked it.
I think it was the first Gen where I actually liked the male trainer's design enough to actually pick it.
Also a big fan of the poison gym in B/W 2
The music was probably the best part.
In terms of gameplay.. it's a pokemon game. It's not really worth comparing it to other generations in that regard.

Probably my favourite generation after 3
I thought the region was dull and the starters were fucking hideous and crap.
Another fire fighting fucker with garbage stats.
A useable but dull mixed attacking blue because water types can only be blue fucking samurai seal
A snake whose only good stat is speed and whose only use was when it received contrary, which to be fair is good.
I also hate a LOT of the pokedex for gen 5. I either love or hate Gen 5 mons. Sawk and Throh look like shitty imitations of the Hitmons in gen 1.

mediocre starters but the rest of the dex was great
