HOW TO RP: BENDING MASTERY PATH SYSTEM

The Bending Mastery Paths System is designed to immerse roleplayers in a dynamic progression model tailored for each bending element and its variants. By mastering elements through dedicated paths, players can unlock unique techniques, hone their specialties, and differentiate their bending style from others. The mastery system uses Mastery Points (MP), earned through roleplay engagement, quests, and challenges. Each path offers a distinct journey of growth, reflecting the element’s unique cultural, combat, and utility aspects.

Advancement in the system requires completing key milestones such as quests and investing mastery points to unlock abilities within specific tiers. Paths signify specializations, while Masteries offer powerful standalone abilities to augment bending capabilities.

Path Progression:
Each path is divided into five tiers, each offering a unique upgrade upon reaching it. Players must complete quests to progress. Advancing through tiers typically requires.

  • Tier I: Completion of 2 B-rank Quests
  • Tier II: Completion of 2 A-rank Quests
  • Tier III: Completion of 3 S-rank Quests
  • Tier IV: Completion of 4 S-rank Quests
  • Tier V: Special Quest

Mastery Points (MP):
MP are earned through significant achievements in roleplay (battles, storyline events, quests, etc.) and can be used to:


  • Unlock passive or active upgrades in your path.
  • Upgrade existing abilities (e.g., increase range, power, speed).
  • Create new, unique techniques tied to your path’s theme.
(Note: you may only choose one MP Unlock per Tier).
 
Firebending Mastery Paths

Path of the Inferno Conqueror:
Focus:
Raw power, large-scale destruction, and explosive effects.

  • Molten Fury (40 MP): Burn effects lower enemy defense by 20.
  • Extended Ignition (45 MP): Burn duration extended by 2 turns.
Tier VVolcanic ForceFire techniques cause explosive bursts, damaging nearby enemies within a 10-meter radius.
  • Crimson Detonation (50 MP): Increases explosion radius by 5 meters.
  • Focused Eruption (55 MP): Directed explosions for high impact.

Tier IIIBlazing WhirlwindMove swiftly, leaving behind flame trails that harm enemies for 15 damage.
  • Trail Heat (35 MP): Boosts trail damage to 25.
  • Double Step (40 MP): Create multiple trails in one movement.
Tier IIIIScorching PirouetteCombos are 50% faster and every third strike is empowered by 20 damage.
  • Relentless Heat (45 MP): Further boosts attack speed by 25%.
  • Combustion Chain (50 MP): Launch an additional attack at combo ends, allowing you to add additional strikes in your combos.
Tier VInfernal WaltzEntering a heightened state of flame mastery, creating continuous fire waves as you move (dealing 25 damage within 5 meter radius per turn).
  • Ember Symphony (60 MP): Manipulate waves in one direction increasing damage to 30.
  • Dance of Embers (65 MP): Gain evasion and enhanced bending during the waltz, increasing durability by 20.



Path of the Fire Strategist:

Tactical fire use, control over battlefield positioning.

Tier IIIIgnition TrapSet hidden fire traps that detonate when triggered dealing 5 damage each over 10 meter radius.
  • Tripwire Blaze (35 MP): Spread traps over larger areas (15 meter radius).
  • Multi-Trigger (40 MP): Allow traps to reactivate multiple times (up to 3 explosions per trap).
Tier IIIIHeat ManipulatorManipulate ambient heat to exhaust or weaken foes.
  • Thermal Drain (45 MP): Slow enemy movements by 1/4.
  • Exhaustion Wave (50 MP): Reduce enemy stamina by 100.
Tier VTactical InfernoControl large-scale heat fields for area denial and disruption (mid-range). Able to manipulate the heat in the area increasing the temperature dramatically, increasing fire damage by +10.
  • Heat Scorcher (55 MP): Increase heat range to long range.
  • Precise Tactics (60 MP): Alter heat field effects mid-battle causing continuous burns for 10 damage per turn.



Path of the Combustion Specialist:
Focus:
Precision combustion blasts, ranged firebending attacks.

Tier IIIIChain ReactionConnect multiple explosions together for combination attacks (Up to 3 explosions).
  • Volatile Chain (45 MP): Increase chained explosion damage (10 Damage Per Explosion).
  • Extended Combo (50 MP): Trigger additional chain reactions (Up to 5 explosions).
Tier VCombustion MasteryFire massive, controlled combustion blasts at long range.
  • Ultimate Range (55 MP): Further increase range (Increase all firebending by 1 range).
  • Focused Precision (60 MP): Increased accuracy and power (+20 damage).
 
Airbending Mastery Path
Path of the Wind Dancer:
Focus: Agility, movement-based combat, and evasive maneuvers.

  • Whispering Wind: Movement becomes silent, requiring enemies to have a Perception of 15 or higher to detect your approach.

Tier IICyclonic AgilityGenerate a wind shield when moving at high speed, reducing projectile damage taken by 5 points.
  • Gale Guard: Boosts the shield's protection by to 10 damage.
  • Momentum Surge: After a successful dodge, gain +15 speed for 1 turns.
Tier IIIVortex StrideCreate whirlwinds that allow brief gliding or hovering for 1 turn, making you harder to target and requiring a Perception of 20 to track your movements.
  • Aerial Acrobat: Increase glide duration by 1 turn and gain an additional +5 speed while airborne.
  • Cyclone Kick: Kicks gain +10 damage and generate a wind burst that pushes enemies back 3 meters.
Tier IIIIHurricane Momentum+10 movement speed during combat; each successful attack boosts your speed by an additional +2 for 2 turns (stackable up to 3 times).
  • Flow State: Gain +10 attack speed for 1 turn after dodging an enemy's attack.
  • Tempest Dash: Dash through enemies, dealing 15 wind-based damage on contact.
Tier VSky WardenControl wind currents to create a 10-meter buff zone that grants allies +10 speed and increases enemy difficulty in tracking movements (requires Perception of 25).
  • Winds of Valor: Allies gain an additional +10 speed within the buff zone.
  • Storm Bind: Enemies within the zone are slowed by -10 speed.



Path of the Tempest Bringer:
Focus: Offensive airbending techniques with high destructive potential.

Tier IIIICyclone ForceLaunch a massive cyclone, dealing 25 damage to all enemies in a 10-meter radius with a knockback of 5 meters.

  • Restorative Current: Increase healing to 15 health per turn.
  • Rejuvenating Wind: Reduces allies' ability cooldowns by 1 turn.
Tier VCyclonic BastionCreate a massive wind shield that absorbs 40 points of damage within a 20-meter radius.
  • Extended Reach: Increase shield radius to 30 meters.
  • Unyielding Winds: Increase shield absorption to 50 damage and extend duration (+1 turn).

Tier VSky VeilCreate a dome of swirling air currents that shrouds you and your allies within a 15-meter radius in near-perfect invisibility. Enemies require a Perception of 35 or higher to detect anyone inside. Additionally, project subtle air disturbances to mislead opponents.
  • Veil Expansion: Extend the dome’s radius by 10 meters.
  • Cyclone Shield: While the veil is active, reduce incoming ranged damage by 10 points for all allies inside.

  • Metalstorm: Launch a barrage of metal shards, dealing 15 damage to all enemies in range.
  • Fortified Stronghold: Create a massive metal fortress that absorbs 50 points of damage for allies within.

Focus: Precision and control over sand, mobility, and sensory skills.

Focus: Mastery over ice-based techniques, including freezing, shaping, and using ice offensively and defensively.

  • Cold Shock: Frozen enemies suffer -5 to speed and attack for 2 turns.

  • Targeted Freeze: Direct the blizzard’s power to focus on a specific 10-meter area, doubling the damage.

Focus: Mastery over healing techniques, using water to mend wounds, cleanse, and protect allies.

  • Rejuvenating Aura: Allies gain +5 defense for 2 turns after being healed.
Tier VHealing TideUnleash a massive wave of healing energy, restoring 50 health to all allies within a 20-meter radius.
  • Enduring Wave: Allies continue to regain 10 health per turn for 2 turns.
  • Revitalizing Surge: Boost the speed of all allies by +10 for 2 turns.
