Captain America(MCU)VS Soldier Boy(The Boys)

There was a feat of Groundhawk dodging Nubia’s lightning in Diabolical. That episode is apparently one of the three animated shorts that is canon to the TV show. Nubia also created thunderstorms when she was doing the deed.

Madelyn also stated that every weapon America could throw at younger Homelander has failed, which I assume include nukes.

Vought was absolutely confident a point blank nuke would kill Homelander

it just wouldn't work in practice cause he could fly away or laser it

I've argued it has in the past, Although @Edward Nygma has disagreed

Full Disclosure: I don't watch The Boys because it's gross and, as my name suggests, I'm better than all of you. :maybe

As far as I am aware, Homelander is still coasting off of the comment that he can't be harmed by conventional weapons.

I've seen some people give him MOAB durability for that. I personally think that's wank. Especially after seeing Mave do (admittedly very minor) damage to him, and the strong implication that a point-blank blast from Soldier Boy would end him.

Homelander wouldn't do any better than the best we saw at the UA entrance exam, imo. He'd get washed by the time of the Sports Festival. Maybe even the camping trip.

I kind of doubt that he could actually hurt Muscular. Nobody in his verse can seriously wound him physically, so his DC can't scale to his own durablity. Unless one of his recent breakdowns lead to some serious self-mutilation or something.

If you assume he scales to showings from his multiverse counterparts in the animated series, the MOAB claim becomes more believable. We see a distinctly weaker hero part clouds. That said, we also see said hero die (violently) on impact with a solid object. So...durablity is inconsistent at best.

That's fair. Best thing i do remember from the show is Homelander destroying that airplane anyways so :easythere
What's cap sitting at nowadays?

His profile has him at Multi city block level+ with his shield https://outskirtsbattledomewiki.com...ain-america-marvel-cinematic-universe&catid=8 and Hypersonic + reactions.

I don't think Cap has any defense against the radioactive blast tho.

Even if the AOE is too large to shield against iirc it had a long ass charge up time that could definitely be interrupted.

If Cap's shield could protect him from Iron Man's repulsors, multiple sky drops, and Mjolnir leveling a forest they were in, a blast from Soldier Boy's nuke won't be a problem. His shield nullifies the kinetic force of the attack (except when it comes to RPGs and grenades for some reason)
