Circus of Humorous & Humiliating Arguments Part 4 Part 2: Electric Boogaloo

I guessed right, starlight started saying stupid things

Starlight AND Imaginary and the hilarious shit is that I didn't even highlight, this is literally them losing it because they can't explain why Iori would ever lose to Yoriichi or anyone else in Demon Slayer and is just grasping on any and every little thing they can:

It doesn't say that. Hitting things with the flat of your blade is swordsmanship too.

Yeah, not with Black Keys they aren't:

Bruh, you are fucking blind! There is no visible debris left over as he literally sliced them to dust as the narration states. You are going with people who can't see what he did over the narration itself!

I like how they bring up Mordhau when it's using a normal sized sword in an unorthodox fashion when Black Keys are explicitly not built for close ranged fights and aren't effective as swords...

Remember that this is a FICTIONAL SERIES they are trying to compare to Real Life but ONLY for this feat and not for, I don't know, DEMON SLAYER as well?

"Fiction is Fiction but these people who didn't see what Hansa did says he smashed it so we should ignore it over the actual narrator stating he used swordsmanship to cut them to dust and the movements Hansa does show no debris anywhere but dust"

Like come the fuck on people!

How the hell the topic changed to Hansa anyways.
Last I check it's Iori vs whoever that KnY samurai is and both Iori and Hansa has very different skill and fighting style

Because it's the go to for Spacebattles to downplay Fate if they can't do it in the usual fashion. They basically point out how stupid a feat is and how weak it is to downgrade another character doing a vastly superior feat through anti-scaling.

Thus, it fits how Fate as a series is inconsistent and thus Iori's feats should be truly compared to the "TRUE" and "consistent" part of Fate:

Fate Stay Night and Fate Zero, aka, the series they have downgraded to ludicrous levels.

I already talked about that and yeah, that's how they try and degrade feats over there... even though Iori actually has hilariously higher feats than anything Hansa scales to but they LOVE trying to use these types of deals as the MAX rather than actually scaling it.

No???
I'd agree with this for some writers, but that's not a universal rule.

Then who is it applied to for "certain writers" then? Because it seems like Spacebattles members have a really weird ass selection of what writers can be "taken at their word" and who can't. Besides, that's not how VS debates should ever work for numerous reasons.

Whenever I hear people say stuff like this unironically in SB, I end up laughing not out loud but in my own head. So Nasu is one of those writers who keep their power levels semi-consistent... so what's the argument then?! Kinoku Nasu supervises anything that comes out from his series and allows writers to go nuts and he adds it in later in the shit he makes. Nasu is the primary writer of Fate/Extra(which started the "power creep"), parts of Main Story of Extella, not only entire parts of FGO's story but explicitly supervises the others and is the one who primarily chooses what's canon or not.
Secondly, Fates and Statements CANNOT be interpreted in multiple different ways, that doesn't even begin to make sense. The only way a feat or statement can be interpreted in that fashion is if the author explicitly tries to make their shit vague(Which wouldn't be counted outright as a feat or statement anyway) which is not the same as what is going on in that thread now in which we get simple ass proof on what the writer stated.

Like. Author's intent is a fairly important idea when it comes to these debates, I'd say. A collection of feats can make it easier to find that intent.

I'm not gonna say anything... I'm gonna let the ones who are smart understand how stupid this sounds on their own...

It's not a perfect model, but it is one way to debate

Yes, doubt what is literally told to you outright because characters who could barely see the feat believed he smashed them despite there being no evidence outside of explicitly looking for it...
VS. The narrator themselves stating it had nothing to do with power but speed and skill and Black Keys aren't made with power in mind from F/SN which stayed true for later series = Hansa diced them up...

Yeah, that makes sense...

Okay, these kinds of remarks are almost always wrong, and will only weaken your position.

It's always funny seeing this be typed up when it's extremely obvious that yes, they ARE playing favorites with Demon Slayer while bitching about Fate to an unrealistic degree every time...
This is even talked about amongst those that don't do this multiple times for other series(You can literally point to a Naruto vs. debate and see how many people basically state that Naruto is barely Mach even well into Part 2 because Sound Jutsu exists) but nah, it weakens your position to point out the blatant hypocrisy.

I called imaginary out but it seems people are misunderstanding the "you" here

Also I have a feeling I'll reported. Which is worth it, more people need to call out those who overcriticize one side and not the other. Like you said they are unfair with who can be taken at their word and can't.

Oh you saw my comment that Blaze replied to?

That's how it is with the Spacebattles hivemind: People get mad FOR others even if it isn't addressed to them. Snowflake mentality(The ironic part is that Imaginary keeps bringing it on himself for doing this in multiple topics not even just about Fate).

I've seen people get banned for less because their mods are absolute chickenshits... like you can be polite as possible but if the mods don't like you, they will ban you for anything and purposefully brag about it.

I did:

And you are honestly right about that. Demon Slayer is in the exact same position that they could say all of these feats about Fate for in particular(Especially with how much they wank Nichirin Blades despite we get multiple times that they will break and chip hitting the wrong thing or getting bashed by a rock) and remember, Yoriichi's entire EXISTENCE outside of feats told to us by the series is never truly properly shown and neither is Muzan's true speed or power ever shown either... but we should take them at their absolute word despite NOTHING to the contrary making that possible.

It's literally an argument against the easily proven(Iori) vs. the unprovable(Yoriichi) and it's 500% irony that you have the typical defenders not understand that this is the reason why Spacebattles is seen as a joke even to VSB and Reddit.

Remember cutting 10,000 fish is better feat in comparison to a guy who catch multiple assault rifle shot at close range, fr fr.

Honestly, I think SB tries too hard regarding Fate's continuity(as well as Comic book it seems), while Edison gives us good advice regarding it
