Essence Points System

What are Essence Points?
Essence Points allows for customization in terms of power and skills in ways that are unique to each individual, with the combination with the Mastery Points System. These Essence points represent a character's speed, damage, health, stamina, and tracking capabilities. Filled with Essence Points allocated through special missions, events, and tournaments, these Essences will allow you to increase your skills in various ways. Each Essence has a specific purpose that is important to every build, some offering direct damage increases while some offer unique perks as your skill with them raises.

In this system, each character has six core "Essences", but the focus is on how they synergize with bending, combat, and perception. The essences will reflect a character's core traits, and each will interact with the world in a unique way, using a 1 to 7-point scale where 6 and 7 are special levels.

While each of the Essences is capable of reaching 7 points each, there are limitations put in place that force members to spread their points out more; by the time a RPer has 10 Essence Points, every Essence must have a minimum of 2 points, except for Endurance which is treated as a bonus Essence. This causes RPers to spread their first 10 points evenly. In addition to this, RPers will only be able to max out 2 Essences with the others capping at 5 points. This forces more unique builds to arise from this system. Should the need ever arise, a higher cap may be placed as Essences increase.

The Six Essences are:

  1. Focus: Bending Mastery
  2. Might: Physical Power
  3. Will: Spiritual Fortitude
  4. Finesse: Speed & Precision
  5. Awareness: Perception & Reaction
  6. Endurance: Health & Stamina
