Why not, and people will definately flock to Bionicle (and it seems like a fair fight). Galo de Lion from Promare enters the Bionicle-verse. Who does it go?

peeped the calcs you did, the one that was around 38,000C would be way way faster than anything in Bionicle. We know Mata Nui travelled all around the galaxy in the past but currently I’m not aware of any way to get a timeframe for it. Word of God is that he can’t fly ftl, but that seems unlikely given how much ground he needed to cover

Nevertheless, DC for him should be large star level as he’s stated to be able to destroy the universe over time by destroying all of its suns, but the speed gap makes actually using that iffy
other characters have hax (which he should actually scale to) that could make a difference but likely get blitzed before they can really use it. While Toa can react to lightspeed attacks I doubt it nets numbers anywhere beyond low ftl, due to the distance involved in said feat

but not to the same degree, and Mata Nui’s space adventures happen offscreen so we have zero clue to quantify it
Unless I really missed something they’re basically lower end FTL, which is good for stomping series like the HST but bad when you have to deal with other cosmic series


weird case where the speed holds them back more than dc or hax does, but they aren’t slow either it’s just stuck in a strange speed tier relative to their dc

So outside hax and almost the same level of DC I seemed to have underestimated Bionicle (I also thought Bionicle was multi-star system level for some reason).

At least they've got it better than Bloodborne who're around this level but stuck at hypersonic.

the most impressive stuff relative to the own series is mainly some weird lore bits about the mid tiers all possessing large planetbusting energy but Mata Nui’s insides being built to contain that

but yeah the ftl feats, Im pretty sure the closest peer is Jojo which has like double to triple digit ftl last I checked. I can’t imagine Bionicle scales any higher than that

Turns out I did miss something! It wasn't the galaxy that Mata Nui was exploring, it was the universe
It's impossible to get an exact timeframe because again mostly offscreen, but we do know it took him about 99000 years

You can argue it's vague, but his mission was to explore the universe and he talks about visiting many other stars and planets within the first 5000 years. His mission also involved large amounts of time of him just laying on a planet doing nothing studying them, and then after 99,000 years he returned back to his home solar system.

So it's kind of vague, highest end if we assumed he really did explore the entire universe it would be MFTL for sure, but conversely the lowest end interpretation probably wouldn't even scrape lightspeed or be barely FTL for his space travel at all. Word of God has said he can't travel ftl in space, but that seems inconsistent with the timeframe either way and WoG in Bionicle while usually good, has contradicted itself before several times.

Also found out the Golden Skinned Being has Solar System scale reality warping, though his powers have some caveats

He can make any dream real but his best feat with it is removing the ability to dream from every planet "near"
