This is the gun Killy has.
It's the kind of matchless weapon where nothing can withstand it's direct hit.
Instead of solid matter bullets, an energy-like beam is fired.
It is also capable of power regulation and rapid fire.
For a long time it was the only weapon Killy had.
It became clear that the presiding Safeguards also used such things.

Gravity, even when emitted as a beam, does not have that much power.
So where does the immense power of the Gravitational Beam Emitter come from?
Perhaps, like the Gravity Furnace, it comes from Dark Matter intervening.
That is, if the beam hits one certain place, it transforms into an entirely different location where an extreme amount of dark matter suddenly occurs. The thing's mass increases explosively, a reaction that would cause anything to be destroyed.
Since it changes the attributes of the place where it hits, it could be called, "Installation Emitter" maybe.

aside from Nihei being an insane genius who thought about every aspect of the manga in super technical terms and didn’t explain nearly any of it until this bookI think it just ignores durability entirely, because it isn’t attacking you with the gravity it uses it to “change your location” to be full of dark matter which obliterates any substance
Nihei doesn't like directly explaining his stories most of the time (Sidonia ni kishi being an exception) and prefers to use visuals to express everything. Abara (where Fujimoto got the inspiration for Chainsaw Man(even naming Denji after him)) Biomega ect dont have a lot going on in terms of direct story telling and people are left to just fill in the blanksI’m most amazed that none of this is him bullshitting at all. Reading these explanations I really am recalling certain details of the manga and going OH that’s what that meant
it’s so insane to me he thought the entire story out to this degree but intentionally did not explain even 5% of it in the actual comic

[World 3/ Shape and Size]
This world extends to approximately the outer edge of the solar system.
The layered city is a smaller portion of it, coming up to Jupitar's orbit.
Materials for the world come only from the planets.
This closely resembles what is called a "Dyson Sphere".
In 1959 the space researcher, Freeman Dyson, proposed the Dyson Sphere theory.
He thought that if you take a fixed star, like the sun, and cover it in a shell, energy that would normally be cast off into space would instead could be used to fuel our world.
However, as will be stated later on, the Blame! world's basic establishing factor is the engineering and management of Dark Matter as soon as it became possible to do so.
Since there is the possibility, one would think that the world lost its spherical shape so why not think of the layers as being shaped like a stack of thick donuts.
[The World 4/ Power]
With circumstances similar to a Dyson Sphere, basically the sun is like a power furnace.
It also acts as a nuclear power generator and one can imagine it being used this way.
With only that as power, one can expect to obtain unlimited power for one thousand million years.
When considering how the layered world handles power transmission, one must think it relies on the Gravity Furnace, as will be stated later.

Iko called it the "Gravitational Beam Generator" but it's actual name is this one ((referring to "Type One Variable Critical Arms")). The people on the Forbidden Level of the Life Electric Company also called it "Gravitational whatever" as a name that describes its functions directly.
But in the end, "Type One Variable Critical Arms" is the true name of Killy's weapon whereas "Gravitational Beam Emitter" is just a description.
So what does it mean by a "Weapon" that is "Critical" and "Variable"?
n the whole of this world, the Builders have created a layered world that is, in actuality, a level that is the same size as the Solar System. And inside of that entity is one atmospheric pressure of breathable air circulating about the whole thing as well as regularized gravity.
That kind of environment is impossible to create naturally, however there is some way or another to control that kind of thing artificially.
Naturally, the largest restructuring was taking control of the gravitational power, and undoubtedly, within the Megastructure there are controls.
If control over the gravitational power was lost, the only possibility is that the layers themselves would instantly collapse.
With that in mind, is there even a "Variable Critical Arms"?
Concerning controlling gravity, Killy's gun "emits" "beams" of "gravitons." It is the ultimate "arms" who's "critical" point is creating a situation where all "variables" have failed.
Blam! It cuts down places developed with artificial gravity with its straight beam and causes localized gravitational failure.
Since using such a thing haphazardly would be rather dangerous for the world if used carelessly, its owner is controlled carefully.

The superstructure that makes up the world is divided up by numerous ultra-durable walls through which nothing besides Killy's Gravitational Beam Emitter can penetrate.
There is a relationship between the barriers and Safeguard activity.
They tend to activate when one approaches a wall.
Within the walls, there is a system which maintains the environment.
The area is created by the Builders.
