Nightmare (Soul Calibur) vs Ryu Hayabusa

Assuming it's Inferno!Nightmare? Ryu's best tool is likely his black hole creation. Unless the True Dragon Sword is capable of harming beings residing in other dimensions, though it's been a while since I've played any of the Ninja Gaiden games so I'm not sure on that. Nightmare to my knowledge should otherwise have the hax advantage, mainly in terms of his soul and mind manipulation, as well as everything to do with Astral Fissures.

His soul manipulation in question also allows him to simply rip out souls.

"The maddened "Azure Knight" Nightmare is capable of destroying several mounted and heavily armored soldiers with a single sweep of the massive Soul Edge, and can pull out his victims' very souls using his misshapen right arm."

Ryu already has soul resistance due to how the Dragon Sword works and Ryu's Ancestors have dealt with similar beings who have access to similar hax and they have no problems with it either and Ryu >>> both of them.

Actually there's a lot more evidence for planet level top tiers than one might expect. In SC3 it was technically Abyss who caused the eclipse, though he was defeated by the combined efforts of Nightmare and Siegfried. The eclipse remaining until he's defeated.

As for anything regarding to Soul Edge specifically, it should be noted that the Astral Chaos is the manifestation of Soul Edge's inner world, formed from the massive amount of souls it has absorbed over the years. Within the Astral Chaos itself contains multiple planets (including one that appears to be Jupiter) as well as several stars in the distance in SC3. The Astral Chaos containing stars might also have been a thing in Soulcalibur 1.

Stars might seem like a bit much, and I probably would have too until I saw this post briefly mention one of Necrid's weapons. Necrid in question being a character who literally runs for his life at the sight of seeing Inferno, before being trapped in the Astral Chaos.
Soul Calibur II - Description for Necrid's Infernal Edge weapon. Over time it will eventually have enough power to consume the life force of a star. Can disrupt the flow of time.

Other characters like Edge Master have stated that if the Astral Chaos were left open, it would consume the entire world. Something which he has no reason to lie about, given his eternal nature.
New Legends of Project Soul - Edge Master describes if the Astral Chaos is left open, it would "consume the entire world". Edge Master is also eternal.

This also ties neatly in with Algol being able to destroy or create worlds should he master the Astral Chaos.

We also know that, at least in the context of Soul Edge itself, we can scale off feats from both timelines. This is because Soul Edge exists both in the Astral Chaos as well as outside of it; the former being a dimension that exists outside of time and space. To add fuel to the fire, there are instances where characters residing within the Astral Chaos are able to interact with and acknowledge both timelines, such as when Algol speaks to the Mitsurugi of the new timeline, directly referencing their duel in the older timeline.

Sounds like it could be an interesting match then.

However, even the Vigoor Emperor prior to completing his transformation into Vigoor could create an eclipse in Ninja Gaiden, and Vazdah is even more powerful than him in Ninja Gaiden II. Then there's the Goddess that Ryu beat with the Blade of Archfiend which by feats is a pretty garbage sword by comparison to the Dragon Sword let alone the True Dragon Sword. And Ryu could match the Goddess when she had the latter. The Blade of Archfiend provides so little of an amp that even Ryu with the bog-standard Dragon Sword can beat Genshin when he has it. And even Ryu's father was able to stalemate Genshin for a time, and all he had was a normal katana.

from sc6, only this info here i wasn't aware of [didn't invest on sc6's story that much], from what you had posted, so it's potentially planet level, still not legit planet levels, needs more for that

but it is a good zenkai and more than enough to solo the hst, despite the top tiers being mhs+, not bad
