Reverend Insanity is betterAny of you guys read legend of the northern blade?
@Xhominid The Apex @Darth Nihilus @Blade @Nevermind So, Rock apparently came back last night, and his return was wasted on Theory, whose irrelevant, at this point???
I mean, nice to see him back, even if it ain't his prime version, but still.
Also weird that, again, he showed up for a segment with Theory of all people. I know he was Vince's boy and all, but even Vince has to be aware at this point, that Austin Theory has pretty much been a failure. The IWC has been going beside themselves on an interview that had The Rock say that "The Wrestlemania Main Event with him and Roman WAS a Lock" by saying that now officially the story of Cody Rhodes has ended and The Rock will beat Roman...
Which is weird as hell as The Rock never mentioned Roman or The Bloodline once tonight, The Rock explicitly stated it was in the past tense and there's so many damn months between September and Wrestlemania for that to work out at all as The Rock is explicitly still out of shape and way too old to hang anymore.
I guess the Wembley numbers being lied about, Jade Cargill wants to head to the WWE and AEW continuing to deteriorate has people wanting WWE to fail major at something so AEW can somehow benefit.
Also weird that, again, he showed up for a segment with Theory of all people. I know he was Vince's boy and all, but even Vince has to be aware at this point, that Austin Theory has pretty much been a failure.
Also, when did The Rock say that? I could buy him being able to do a match, if he was willing to work toward having it, like Stone Cold did for KO, but I don't see Roman. That path only leads to Roman retaining, and that man had held the title long enough, so have someone that's actually going to be there post-Mania, who people can have some hope will actually dethrone Roman.
Also, it seems like they're setting up a potential match between AJ and Roman for the future, as one of Roman's buffer matches, with how AJ got involved with 'Bloodline business'.
There's a chance it's the same with LA Knight, given the promo he cut, calling out all the champions, but I hope not. Man needs to go for Seth's title for Mania, or hell, have him beat Seth at Survivor Series or Royal Rumble(latter is preferable, as it gives more time for Knight's cred to increase) and have Damian cash in to take the title off him, so that the feud going into Mania could be Knight vs The Judgment Day. Face vs Heel faction. That could be engaging.
Either way, Theory is done. Was kind of a waste of a segment for The Rock's return. In my opinion, anyway.Honestly, that more feels like Triple H as he pretty much never cared for Theory at all and he's clearly been embarrassing the man otherwise.
Honestly, this feels more like it'll lead to Rock getting involved in the Bloodline story, but backing Cody up, and ending up as the special guest referee in their rematch, where Roman winning solidifies him as the Tribal Chief once more, while a loss signals an end to his reign at the head of the table, as well as his championship run.
This. Which again is literally just confirming that Wrestlemania 39 was supposed to be him vs. Roman and he only teases it could happen at Wrestlemania 40... which somehow means it MUST be official even though if we believe that to be true, it would most likely just be the Night 1 Main Event where Roman goes over. Otherwise it means jack of shit, especially as there's even less build for it than Jimmy vs. Jey(Which is currently being built up now with Jimmy becoming a Main Eventer fucking around with everyone).
I suppose that isn't shocking. I personally think its that table spot that actually injured him. The way Roman landed didn't look good at all.It seems that way(It also seems it's true that Roman got injured against Jey in their match).
I saw that, yeah. Him going down the world title route with Seth, and then setting up a road to WrestleMania feud that could potentially extend beyond it, with The Judgment Day, is a great way to elevate both Knight, as well as that faction, over the world title. Because we all know Seth ain't doing anything good with them, and is pretty much set to have Nakamura fed to him for the next month or so, as filler. They had LA Knight go over Miz completely clean yesterday so it's definitely leading him up the natural way rather than immediately putting him in the ME spotlight. And I doubt he'll be the one to dethrone Roman either as you stated, he's better off dethroning Seth and Damian can get some real heat and actual spotlight to the Judgment Day.
Even more reason why, seeing as they were forced to go with Cody, an audible should've been pulled at Mania 39. No use crying over spilt milk though. What's done is done. Now there's just the wait for Mania 40, I guess.@Derpmaster9000 @Darth Nihilus
The only thing that interview tells us is that Roman vs. Cody at this year's Wrestlemania(39) was NEVER MEANT TO HAPPEN IN THE FIRST PLACE!
It was supposed to be Roman vs. The Rock and then this coming Wrestlemania is supposed to be Roman vs. Cody...
It's also why I'm ultimately in agreement it has to be AEW fanboys acting like it will happen when absolutely nothing leads into it nor did The Rock tease a confrontation at all at Smackdown(I don't even think he met a member or his cousins).
At best, I can see something at The Royal Rumble to get it out of the way but not at Wrestlemania unless it's a Triple Threat with Cody Rhodes but the issue again is if The Rock's body can even handle it anymore.
