Peter truly fumbled the bag with black cat

I have no clue why did that was even in the book, shit out of nowhere
Yeah, if I recall correctly Stephen King was high/on drugs when he wrote that shit, and he was appalled at the shit he wrote later on when he sobered up

Either that or he was just trying to save face.

Considering how much of an acid trip IT turns into in certain parts, I can kinda buy him being on drugs when he wrote certain scenes.

The scene with all the male members of the losers club running a train on the only female member, was written in far too much of a mechanical way to sound like someone who was on drugs, though. It read like a guy who knew what he was writing the entire time, but wanted to get it over with as fast as possible.

Why King didn't just, I don't know, decide to write a different scene that demonstrated them 'maturing', instead of that shit, I have no idea. ha

Me thinks the man written porn fan fic on the side

The sewer scene is so cursed that you forget It has other wut scenes in it (like the scene where the bullies wank each other off).

Even the show and movies have a ton of issues (Tim Curry had to carry the TV miniseries, and the movies relied way too much on jumpscares, and had a bunch of other issues).

Meanwhile not a single adaption has had a universe-sized Turtle or the Deadlights in it (you had one job).

Spider man deleted all the lgbtq shit in middle east release.
It's so obvious they are pandering to western shit.

"The game taking place after 3 and 1, where Dante fights and (seemingly) kills his own brother, but before 4 and 5 where he meets a new family member in Nero and eventually reconciles with Vergil, could allow us to chalk up his personality shift here to depression."

I paraphrased that a bit but it's the crux of her argument for why Dante's personality shift in 2 COULD make sense. My issue with it would be that the flashback in 4 where Lady hires Dante to look into the Order of the Sword already shows him being more cheery even before he meets Nero so it kind of shoots that argument in the foot.

It also doesn't account for the anime which canonically takes place between DMC1 and 2 where, although he is certainly more stoic than he normally is, Dante definitely doesn't come close to DMC2 levels. The4thSnake put forth an idea in his video that Dante allowing the situation in the anime to get as bad as it did by not killing Cid when he had the chance could also have contributed so there's that.

No matter how you try to justify it though, DMC2 Dante is never going to make complete sense. Granted I do agree that Lucia's story is one of the game's redeeming qualities. I wouldn't go as far as to say the game as a whole is "good" but there are definitely things to like about it, moreso IMO than DmC to be sure.
