Kaido being weakened from all the fights was almost certainly referring to his stamina

Because he was pulling out stronger and stronger attacks and taking the fight more seriously as it went on

Basically in a straight 1v1 he would outlast Luffy but Luffy has the raw strength to bat on his level now
 
These new developments with how significant of a power-up Awakening and gears in general have been really make Blackbeard feel far more formidable already, for the simple fact that he has the power to shut off other people's DF abilities.

Luffy can go all Joyboy cartoon mode but Blackbeard should just need one touch to snap him back to reality. Awakening may even allow him to do so without physical contact, and that's without the high possibility of an Awakened Gura Gura on top of that.
 
I could definitely see Luffy bonking Blackbeard over the head with the fucking moon. Or stretching his hand into the sun, grabbing a chunk and performing a Sun God Firefist.

This chapter was awesome. Luffy, despite not going through a significant physical transformation, still looks so cool. I'm super excited. Breaks will probably become more excruciating going forward

Lmao. Some dude on OL said Luffy's too special and everyone is the underdog unlike Blackbeard who had to "work hard" to get to his level, so how dare we enjoy it


I'm convinced half of the people in OL haven't even read the manga. No fucking way.

Yes Blackbeard worked SO hard. After all he only has one of the most powerful devil fruits in the series and STOLE one of the other most powerful devil fruits (and several others), snuck into the Seven Warlords so he could hide behind the Marines during the war and has generally used every dirty trick in the book.

While Luffy had the unmitigated GALL to start with a shit tier Devil Fruit and get where he is through sheer training, experience and ingenuity. Even having all forms of Haki didn't matter until he actually learned how to use them and it took over a THOUSAND chapters to awaken his Devil Fruit into the god like thing it is now.

Yep Blackbeard CLEARLY worked SO MUCH HARDER.

Like I haven't even read the whole thing and I still know better than to say stupid shit like that.
 
Also, apparently because Luffy got off the hook due to Aokiji owing Garp a favor, he doesn't deserve all the credit for busting into Enies Lobby, bulldozing through its strongest and freeing his crewmate.

Man, they are reaching so hard.

And of course the bit where Aokiji WAS going to kill him in Marineford doesn't count because Marco saved his ass?
We shouldn't commend the fact that he DID indeed manage to free Ace momentarily just because he had help doing so.

The OL are saying they liked the series better when Luffy was a normal guy....

Luffy was never a normal boy. Lol he blitzed through all of EB in a month and got people like Sanji and Zoro to be his nakama lol.

They like the idea of Luffy being some guy who turned a fruit that was a joke into a lethal Weapon

Not to mention that they're completely twisting the context of Aokiji owing Garp a favor. He mentioned it, then said right after "but I think you guys need to die now". He was pretty much testing them. He saw some potential in Luffy and what happened to Robin and Ohara obviously didn't sit well with him and his moral code. It would have probably played out in a completely different manner if it weren't for Luffy whooping Crocodile's ass and standing up for Robin.

And he did. Which is why he made it so far. They're now pulling shit from hundreds of chapters ago to make Luffy look like an entitled kid who never earned anything. Shit's getting incredibly pathetic over there.
