Didn't Vegapunk outright say the clouds around the Awakened Zoans stand for them having mastered the form or something like that?

Then again, Luffy does get sorta taken over by Nika despite having them so
 
Probably because Lucci's natural bloodlust matches too much with the nature of the Carnivore Zoan.
 
Not gonna lie
It would have been something interesting in the fucking Wano arc for Ulti and Page 1's father being killed by Ace to be mentioned or for the awakening aspect to be mentioned

I think lately the SBS went from intriguing trivia to “oh I wish we had actually jyst seen this in the main story since it seems pretty important”


I don’t really remember too much of the older SBS being this way
 
More like Hanafuda was created post Wano, and Oda is just taking the opportunity to tie into two characters.

I doubt Oda had any reals plans for this.
 
I doubt it either but similar to Kidd’s backstory it’s something I would have rather seen than had told to me as a missable afterthought. It’s interesting stuff!
 
I agree, but I think this will be the norm moving forward.

Characters Oda cares less about will probably be SBS.
