Kinda changed my mind on this
It would be kinda silly for Oda to create a trio of characters that specifically follow a hierarchical theme of Gold > Silver > Copper only to invent a fourth secret character that stands inbetween that hierarchy

Oden was the legendary fourth mineral Kevlar
Oden & Gabban were equal in the anime-only fight, and I can’t imagine it being that much different in the Manga.
Granted, Oden & Whitebeard were the only top tiers Vs Roger, Rayleigh & Scopper—and yet they stood neck and neck in equal standing. So Oden must have been pulling more than his fair share to outweigh the numbers advantage

Yeah I think Oden had to be a little stronger than Rayleigh and Scopper.
I'm pretty sure he had a statement that if he couldn't kill Kaidou. No one alive could kill Kaidou. Which involves Rayleigh, Scopper and Whitebeard. Kaidou himself said an alliance between Oden and Hyogoro prime might have toppled them.
Scopper recently said he didn't want to go to Wano because Kaidou was there.
I would think Narratively Oden has mote going for him than Rayleigh and Scopper.
Although we do have Blackbeard not wanting to fight Rayliegh, and Garp saying the Navy doesn't want to fight Rayleigh and Whitebeard at the same time.
If had to make an educated guess Oden>=Rayleigh = Scopper.

I think Oden in general gets kinda criminally underrated because of how he went out. He’s just he only character to take a hit from Roger of any kind and while obviously Roger was probably not going for the kill it was a specific named technique not some casual blow.
This is true. Then again Whitebeard didn’t either, and he had a big army he could use.
They were under the impression that Kaido beat Oden fair and square—which he didn’t—so the risk was already a bit too much facing an Emperor with an army.
If we were to take the Anime putting Oden & Scopper as Equals, there is no reason in-universe for Scopper to believe that he would win, even if he could’ve in his prime.
The Godvalley flashback is gonna make some things more clear once we get it. Hopefully.
Scopper, Rayleigh, Garp and Roger working together will be something else.
If we were to entertain the anime filler fight, then we should recall it was still fairly early into Oden's career and he didn't know aCoC then. He had substantial enough gains since that battle to make a difference.
The Roger pirates were long established and late into their careers at that point, so Gaban doubtful had the same growth rate.
