I would say so yeah, I’d think he’d either want to get involved in one of the main directions or at the very least if he disagreed with them - give a reason for voting who he was voting especially if he was gonna be gone for ages. I don’t see him as the type to just completely throw away his vote for no reason. He’d have been better off not voting but it’s like he realised he had to vote someone or it would look bad lol.

He’d acted like he was going to take a side on me/ultra as well which he didn’t do

Also what has his "antagonizing" amounted to really? I think most of what he's done today can be summarized as henpecking. He'll push someone and entertain discussion around them for a bit, back off when they say XYZ and call them town and then move onto the next push. It's just a revolving door without any real conviction.
