I've never heard of the role gun giver, but it would track with the character. And given Mercurio is one of the few people you actually can trust in the game if you help him, him being town would make sense.
Though as Ratchet pointed out, this could have entirely cursed alignments, but also logically that ability given to scum in what seems to be a very low power game would be game breaking
