Not sure if him and ratchet would be scum together, haven’t really parsed it. I can see this coming from town ratchet as I vaguely remember having a similar conversation with him in the past about pushing me for dumb/lazy reasons and he was town. My gut still says he’s probably scum tho

In fact, him trying to dirty me based on a flip that hasn’t happened yet is pretty out of his book as scum. In a past game I was defending Luka and he was scum and ratchet was scum and ratchet tried to make me look bad from luka being “obviously scum” or whatever. Basically done the same thing with me not town reading Watson here. Obviously if ratchet is scum then Watson is likely town and he’s using the fact that he knows that to make me look bad

I don't agree with this premise. I think you can take a swing at someone without having a particularly compelling reason for it. That's actually what my interpretation of your post was - your push on Watson crumbled away, for reasons that in part are not strictly within the realm of Mafia, but rather the way she responded, and you were left looking pretty bad from it. And so to try and shore that up you come to voting me without it really lining up or indeed going anywhere.

But the thing is, even if you think my interpretation isn't accurate, which of course you and you alone would know at this point, I don't see how it leads to me having to be scum for it lol.

I'd rather not get into arguing what your intention is as scum because it starts to shift the argument into something like "I would never do this as scum", if I had to theorise it would be that you realised that your position looked pretty bad so you threw a bit of a hail mary while attempting to make the rest of your associations with players hard to read into (which is something I expect you to be doing as scum at this junction). As for why me in particular, presumably you'd find it easier to engage me than Gram or Tempest. That's the theory, but to stress, my argument is not "this has to be the exact thought process you went through as scum, for you to be scum".

Nah, not sure how you find any equity or parity between me and Gram. He was sort of like this in the last game and most likely has to do with how many and often times he can't read me correctly.

So I appreciate that there are a lot of quotes here. Basically what I want to demonstrate is that Gad goes from having a town read on Poyser, defends the town read, and then ends up voting Poyser at the end of his catch up, and I'm really struggling to see why he gets there.

I’m probably somewhere around here. Tbh I’m not entirely sure which direction I even want to go here so I think I’m gonna stick on ratchet as he’s probably the player I feel worse about. I mentioned earlier that he basically said when someone asked him to read me and someone else that he’d put me as scum but it’s not a real read and then when asked about it, he acted like it WAS a fully fleshed out read. I’ll get the quotes in a sec

He also just made a really bad point when he voted me, saying that I thought I have to take a swing at someone so went for him even though I had nothing to explain it. It’s pretty dumb, because as scum if I feel like I have to take a swing at someone then I would ya know… take a swing at them. Acting like I couldn’t think up a reason to vote him as scum is incredibly poor framing. I’d think as town, ratchet would take that into account rather than just saying I’m scum because of it. He has seen me play as scum multiple times, after all. That’s not my game even slightly

Nothing about his position on Watson has cone across as unfair or unreasonable. Given several others share the read, I don't think it's anything he can't defend pretty easily actually if she ends up being scum. He can also point to trying to get something out of her earlier in the game which is more than most slots have done.
