The problem for me is that I don't think he's not actually reading or parsing stuff, I think he actually is and is putting on a front that he isn't. His vote swap from Watson doesn't make sense in the lens of his play behavior. I get what you're getting at here, but that's exactly why it stands out to me that he isn't actually sticking to his guns in his usual fashion. He didn't follow up on his earlier insistence that Melkor was bussed either. Both of these feel like he's playing it safe.

This back and forth with you is not productive, I remember that as town you are like Ekko, you tunnel and make it miserable for the recipient of that tunnel and as scum, you also tunnel and make it even more miserable than if you were town.

Basically my only conclusion is that he stopped pushing Watson because it was pointed out to him that she was soft cleared, but he didn't outright acknowledge or challenge this information, and came up with some excuse about "oh she's not going over so I'll switch"

I find it unlikely this is a real sentiment evidenced by the fact that he has no issue sticking a vote on a person with no absolutely no traction that he decided was 100% scum about 5 seconds ago

No, I stopped going after Watson not because i believe she is soft cleared cause that is not the case, I dont believe she is clear at all. I'm just not interested going after a slot nonone has any interest in pushing. Like it is clear they have anti-town behavior and you are letting that live, I have no power other than my vote to do something about it, so I guess I will do something about it when the rest of the town is ready for it.

GoddessBlade is different because I specialize in micro reading and behavior analysis, in summary, she said something but did another and that something is directly related with Melkor.
