Calc L?wemon, inverted Yamcha of the Human Spirits (Digimon)

Calculations
Before I even start, don't gripe about me using real lightning. This wasn't supposed to be too serious. Though, if you wanna accept it, I'm fine with that too :maybe

Cherubimon sends down a bolt of lightning to murder Kouji and Kouichi steps in with his brand-spanking new Spirit.

Kouji's a twelve-year-old Japanese male, who, upon my findings in previous calcs, tend to be 1.524m tall. If you want me to go look for it, I can, but regardless it's pretty reasonable.

Anyway, one's head tends to be 1/8th of his/her height, so .1905m for Kouji's head.

Never mind, Mike says manga characters' heads are 1/5.7-1/6.5 of their bodies. I'll use an average of 1/6.1. So, Kouji's head is .25m.

Angsizing the distance to Kouji...

2*atan(63.2/(674/tan(70/2)))=7.513005171928

...we get 1.9m.

Here, Kouichi intercepts the bolt some distance from Kouji's head. To get the distance traveled, we'll subtract these.

(.25/158.5)645=1.017

1.9-1.017=0.883m :maybe

The slowest measurement I've seen for the speed of a cloud-to-ground lightning bolt is 220,000 km/h for the stepped leader of a lightning bolt: incidentally, 220,000 km/h = Mach 179.59.

This is from Wombat's roamer calc. To get a timeframe, I'll divide the distance by this velocity of 61111.1m/s.

Back to this scan. I figured I'd just use the edges of the panel for min and max distances traveled by L?wemon.

Low-End

(.25/63.2)129=0.51m

.51/0.0000144490909117=35296.33m/s or about mach 104.

High-End

(.25/63.2)303=1.2m

1.2/0.0000144490909117=83050.2m/s or about mach 244.

I can also find the distance his arm moves, assuming he lifts it from his waist.

Using pixel scaling...

(.25/158.5)401=0.6325m

s=r(theta)
s=0.6325(1.8)
s=1.1385m

1.1385/0.0000144490909117=78793.88m/s or about mach 232.

However, a half-meter arm for a guy easily taller than the average human is :psyduck

So I'm just going to use 2m for L?wemon's height and see how that goes.

One's arm is generally half the length of his/her height, so...

s=1(1.8)
s=1.8

1.8/0.0000144490909117=124575.3m/s or about mach 366.
