Chell creates a portal to the moon to defeat Wheatley. The speed is straight forward; the distance to the Moon is 384,400km.

Not only does it reach the Moon in seconds, but there's a visible flash of light when it does. Though the portals themselves are safe, GLaDOS has this to note on the portal gun in the first game...

Turns out I used the diameter when I should have used the radius. Updated for a downgrade of approximately a quarter of what it was (though still in the same order of magnitude).
