if you build it right you can basically have the same amount of dash based movement like ZOE with assault boost and it even has its own version of the Orbal Cannon

Gears is prob one of the worst transitions. We went from Marcus Fenix, an absolute beast, in Gears 1-3, to Kate Diaz in Gears 5, the single most obnoxiously bad character in the entire franchise.

Super Perm Banned Modsome rec's for emulation, who is the best one for each console and all, they rather easy to setup, dont worry, you can find roms/isos easy too, upscale and tricks are also easy to be learnt

for dreamcast = use redream
for gamecube/wii = use dolphin (they made it so potent to handle both gamecube and wii games at the same time)
for ps1 = use epsxe
for n64 = use project64

for switch = use ryujinx
for wii u = use cemu
for og xbox games = use xemu
for gba = use visualboiadvance
for retro 90s/00s arcade games = use mame
