I'm asking him why does he determine Guillo is coming from a scum-driven motivation when, as he (Ekko) concedes that Guillo could reasonably have certain expectations that are not going to fit into games here, and thus, his position could just as easily come from town.

His position on Watson was "I think she's outed scum, but people are telling me otherwise so I just won't bother any more". No one is holding that water for Goddessblade. Hence why he may not be treating it the same. I'm not that interested in defending him, but I can more or less follow his thought process.

I see. As I said the NK spec is fine in a vacuum, I just have issues when people don’t progress their positions after being told multiple times by different people that that’s usually not the case here.

Counterpoint: scum tend to be the ones who want to get ahead of this stuff, not get stuck in the middle like he is now. Also, I don't think his switch from Watson comes from her not having traction. From his position, Watson did something that only scum should do. So that's why his position is what it is. He's then told that Watson can do this thing that he thinks only scum do. He doesn't want to accept that, so he postures for the sake of posterity, and then moves on.

It's the fact that you're literally saying this but are backing out of actually trying to getting into the knitty gritty of this discussion and defend your perspective. You seem like you just wanna avoid the discussion entirely move on which doesn't make sense for your primary scum read.
