I believe youre confusing Bodyguard who dies protecting their target with Bodyguard who is for all intents and purposes a doctor. They just name it Bodyguard here. I think Alexis is the latter.
And I gave you an answer already. Extra kill power is going to be very limited precisely because it is hard to solve through. Purple will not have more than one role that can kill extra. So Brutus would have to be Yellow, and Arne would have to be Vig (as in a game like this, town would have the ability to kill at night), and then Brutus would have to be claiming his shot from a Mafia kill. Kills per night:
N1 - 3
N2 - 4
N3 - 2
This suggests that yellow is wiped already and the vig shot can fit into all nights. An indie serial is not very likely because it's multiball which removes the value of hard bussing (one reason to have a serial). QED Brutus is town.
I do think the usage was poor though. At the very least you could have waited for more protective claims to be on the table and followed an active suspect. But no use pondering it now I suppose.

Alright, I am not sure about the wipe. I would rather wait another phase to see if the kills pick up again (fwiw they could have shot into precisely someone that got docced this night or doublestacked), but in a general sense I do agree it's better to solve for purple here because yellow got bumrushed already

You didn't understand that part of the post. That's okay, I'll explain it again.
The argument is made assuming the hypothetical that Brutus is Mafia.
Under that assumption, we know he can't be purple because of Flower's role. So he can only be yellow.
Arne was janitored. So Arne would have to be the actual Vig who shot Watson.
Then, Night 2, two kills must have happened from unexplained sources, and the kill on X must have come from Purple Mafia. Brutus would then be using that kill to evidence his fake claim, outing himself to the purple Mafia.
I obviously do not think this scenario is likely as it would mean Brutus elected to shoot PoE slot Sera last night just to prove his claim. So I am not arguing that this is what happened. Just that this scenario is how he could be scum. I'm actually arguing it to refute the notion that he's scum, as I find the scenario rather ridiculous. Let me know if you have any questions about this still.

I think Magic's use has been awful actually, but Magic used his shot Night 1 allegedly. Before Alecis claimed on Day 2.
