Not sure how I’feel about having Kaido continue to experience bitterness by having Luffy get distracted like Oden

I guess it’s a running theme that despite his strength Kaido’s achievements feel far from epic? Which fuels his whole suicidal fascination.

I’m not sure how you extend the arc from here, but I’ll wait for Oda to thread the needle I guess.

I feel like the spoiler left it dubious if Luffy is actually down and or out yet.

Wouldn't be surprised if Luffy bounces back

As the Korean spoiler guy came out and said after Kaidou's hit we don't see Luffy's face. So it's not even known if he is out.

Suppose it could just be a thematic way to show what/why Luffy's different from the previous generation. Wouldn't be the first time Luffy got back up from a decisive blow that he shouldn't have

Most notable being vs Lucci honestly. Luffy was done, that was just sheer will power moving his ass.

The arc is leading to Kaido picking up the strawhat and jumping crews Durant and LBJ style

In fact I'm willing to bet Luffy will still be standing after this hit. To show that even with the similarities to Oden. He's still a top dog above him.


Also it's confirmed Kaidou has FS.

I was skeptical at first, but I knew it was Luffy's DF the moment CP0 said to kill Luffy.

Luffy's really DF name is "Bounce Bounce Fruit."

I doubt, Luffy's fruit will be bounce bounce or something simple. The Gorosei wanted to put him down so I expect some big reveal.

A lot of people are calling it mythical Wukong but I don't buy that either.

Anyways, oldbeard not fighting Kaido makes more sense now since I have no doubts even oldbeard (not sickbeard) would lose as well.

Reading the spoilers again, it kinda seems like it’s actually thanks to Future Sight, I think. The way Kaido movies in dragon form is stated to be like how Snake Man curves

I think the only thing saving it at this point is by it not undermined at the hard work it takes to get it awakened.

But regardless of that I think the reveal will ruin some aspect of the DF being simple, that's just the way it goes sometimes.

Same as when Sanji was given the Germa power up without ever actually “earning it”

tbh the Germa backstory in general, was kinda really stretching it for Sanji to me, but Whole Cake was such a good arc that Oda pulled it off. More often than not Oda pulls these things off though but I'm still worried

I'm not worried about the fight at all tbh, King vs Zoro, Queen vs Sanji, Supernovas vs Big Mom have all been fire. Oda will give us a good finale regardless. Just worried the simplicity of Luffy's fruit will be messed up
