Considering how Luffy was designed compared to most MCs. This makes sense he started to act like a rubber horse cartoon character now.

Going to put Sun God Nika on the Prime Bears/Roger tier list.

I have seen enough to warrant it.

Luffy stays on the Yonkou tier but if he just mid diffs Kaidou next chapter I'm putting him on prime tier list as well.
 
I compromised and read some shitty scans I found, reminds me of what reading most manga was like over a decade ago :skully

Yeah I like how Luffy's not a reincarnation. And his ability is just a beefed up ability he already has.

Plus it's still Luffy so.

It's crazy the Zoan DFs have a mind of their own. But it makes sense because Funkfreed and Lasso had a mind of their own. And they are just a Gun and a Sword.

His new abilities are incredibly fun to read and I hope Oda goes absolutely crazy with them. What a wonderful time to have gotten into One Piece. I'm glad I finally read it all a year or two ago.

What I'm wondering now
Luffy grabbing the ground and stretching it looks like what you'd expect of a DF Awakening for a rubber fruit, but the translation I read also said something about Nika's powers being based on his imagination. It'd be wild if we got some kind of toon force reality warping power in OP.

And I wonder if this means Joy Boy also had the Nika fruit? Or were Nika and Joy Boy the same person? That has yet to be established.

I also wonder if Nika himself even existed, I assume he did, because all Devil Fruits have been based on something else, but mythical zoans in general throw that notion into question.


Also hilarious that Oda was serious in the SBS when he said Gear 5 was coming soon.

Very fun chapter can't wait for next week
 
Yeah I'm waiting for more of this fight to see if he is just turning everything to rubber, or his has low level imagination manipulation. Because the way it's phrased "fights to his imagination" is kinda....weird.
 
Do we have the top 5 devil fruits?

Whitebeard/Enel/Law/Luffy/Blackbeard/Kaidou all have DFs with specific titles.
 
Actually this is the fifth time a DF got a unique title

Enel's was invincible
Katakuri's was special
Blackbeard's was Unique
Law's was Ultimate
Luffy was Ridiculous
 
Chapter was glorious tbh.

Oda pulled it off for me. It's goofy like Luffy. But not too goofy where it kills the mood.

I always figured that was the case, that a zoan acquires the "instinct" of whatever creature they obtained, which is why weapons can come alive and why carnivorous zoans are known to become more bloodthirsty.

This seems like good hype for Sengoku who's DF is of the same class as Luffy, mythological Hito Hito: God Model. Now we know the reason why Roger and Primebeard put respect on his name.
 
I wonder if we have other God Zoans out there besides Luffy and Sengoku.

Although to be fair all Mythical Zoans are basically "God's" in OP sense.
