Here's something I did recently which I hope is a help
Full scans of the official Transformers G1 Character Encyclopedia, done by me. This book serves as a guide for the Japanese G1 Transformers saga from the first...

I bought a copy of the Japanese Transformers G1 Character Encyclopedia, which is a book released in Japan in 2004 which basically covers all of the JG1 saga from 1985 up to G2, and has profiles on every notable character across every series, even the later ones like Battlestars and Operation Combination. I scanned the book and uploaded it to archive.org to make it fully accessible, I hope that's a useful resource for people. The scans are still pretty shoddy but at least have high resolution and are fully readable.
I had a quick look through it just machine translating things, a lot of the profiles are fairly standard but there's some interesting things, it re-affirms that the demon generals from Zone are capable of destroying planets, Computron is stated to have the computational capacity of 200 supercomputers, and it states Star Convoy is 45 meters tall and 2000 tons which are the same values the Battlestars story pages give him. Cyclonus's profile also directly says he was rebuilt from Bombshell but has a bit of ambiguity and acknowledges it could also be Skywarp, very controversial lol. The art and character models in general are also just really nice to have. It's pretty big of course so I definitely didn't have time to machine translate every single page.
I'm hoping the rest of the Legends manga gets translated soon, that's really the one roadblock left before you can do full proper Japanese G1 analyses. TFWiki has very detailed summaries of every chapter but it would obviously be better to have full translations of each. Once Legends is done, everything else that isn't properly translated is small enough it could be easily done manually, and all the major material would have high quality translations.
