Mostly because making explicit reference to role strength is not something I see scum Sig doing here. While scum probably have a good idea as to role strength revealing it is another matter entirely. Now if for example Sig claims a powerful role then his statement can be called into question.

If Alexis is scum I would likely just clear him on the basis that he claimed the duel to get rid of him which is counter productive for scum since it gives Town an extra opportunity to find other scum on the very first day.
