Anyway, I went over some of the bestiary and here's what I could find. There are some things that have already been brought up, and others that haven't been.

Shadow Hearts

Deathblade, Jiru is able to inflict instant death. Which ignores durability.



The seraphim is able to eat souls, and do so even in people's dreams.



Soul Block is able to attack at the speed of light. It isn't as impressive as Meta-God flying millions of light-years in a week but it's still something.



Atman can eat the souls of harmonixers, and is a product of all people. It being the darkness that exists in all of their minds. Who Yuri Hyuga defeats so he was able to overpower the gestalt consciousness of everyone's evil, basically.



Lobo has control over space bound rocks. In other words meteors, and comets.



Seraphic Radiance has the power to destroy the gods.

Shadow Hearts follows the journey of a young man named Yuri Hyuga who has been hearing voices in his head instructing him on a mission. What's unique about Yuri is that he's a harmonixer; a people that can take in monsters and transform into them. He eventually meets a young girl named Alice Eliot, who has her own problems to bring to the fray. Yuri shoots at a galaxy

Well not really. In fact, I have no clue what he's actually doing, thus the blog. For a long time I've been trying to understand what he's shooting at with his final spell "For the Children"

Well we know for sure he's shooting at something in space, that much is a given. But what? My interpretation: He's shooting at an active galaxy or a dwarf galaxy.

As for why it could possibly be those things; its bright core. It shares similarities to something like Seyfert galaxy with its bright core. It's obviously not to scale, but these things rarely are

It seems to also share similarities with a quasar. Quasar are also noted to change luminosity very rapidly, which we see in that spell.

Kurando abilities

Steal souls

Roger Bacon, someone who has an observatory that's better than some modern world ones and devices that can teleport people to the moon, tells us that the home of Meta-God is located in Messer 72; some 4,800,000 lightyears away from Earth

Now, this real world cluster is located 54,500 light years away from Earth, making it stationed in the Milky Way galaxy. Since there is no reason to believe that Shadow Hearts one is located outside of the Milky Way (only distance was referenced, for that reason, every other real world markers stay the same), that would mean that the series Milky Way is actually larger than our own.

At bare minimum, that would be 4,800,000 lightyears in diameter (which isn't so, since that would assume that we're counting M72 in all direction)

Here's some interesting bestiary's from Koudelka, although it's from the wiki. I have no idea where they got the information from since you can't view bestiary's in Koudelka, and I checked the Koudelka Prima's Strategy Guide to see if they got their source from there, but no luck.

Koudelka

Giant Plant:

"An offshoot from Yggdrasil, the "Tree of Life", it has magically grown to a huge size. It needs to consume meat in order to survive, wrapping its prey in its long tendrils before swallowing them whole."

Further confirmation that the World Tree exists in the Shadow Hearts universe.


Black Cat:

Anyway here's the list for Koudelka. Admittedly most of the bosses are ranked kind of arbitrarily, just based on when you fight them in-game since not a lot of them have actual feats and even their bestiary entries don't really give that much.

The wiki claims it's not canon due to time discrepancy because of Koudelka being pregnant with Halley. The English game manual claims Halley to be 15 years old, Koudelka is 19 in her game and 34 in Shadow Hearts. But this is actually an error, Halley is officially 12. This means Koudelka might have crossed paths with Edward again.

Well just finished the manga. It was...just kind of okay really.

I don't know if it was just the art-style or what, but I would have preferred if Koudelka looked more like she does in the actual game. Also the random student of Roger villain who he just somehow didn't remember or immediately recognize (despite in the game being able to remember even minute details of his early life, down to the exact date) seemed a little cheap to me. Especially with the "I'm actually responsible for everything" twist.

The Manga did reveal that she was still a conduit for the Author after breaking out of the trance thanks to her pendant and then proceeded to beat the crap out of Dogol by using the Author as her stand. It's presumed that the Author never left Koudelka’s body, and her title Witch of the Dark Flame might be a reference. Albert Simon took all her powers away near the end of Shadow Hearts though. Elaine might also be empowered by Malice with her energy attacks being red. Koudelka in her game is definitely a lot weaker and not as experienced compared to her Manga self or Shadow Hearts self.

Shadow Hearts revealed that Koudelka is the Key of Darkness, a being born every century that is the embodiment of sorts to dark magic. Similar to Alice who is the Key of Light the embodiment of light magic. Her son who has inherited her power is able to create black holes. Koudelka even tanks an attack from Amon through Albert Simon’s demon contract.

Albert Simon took all her powers away near the end of Shadow Hearts though.

I'd say that sucks but given all the grief her powers have caused her, a part of her's probably happy to see them go.

Elaine might also be empowered by Malice with her energy attacks being red.

Her larval form's energy attacks were white though, as opposed to Lady where all of her attacks are red thanks to the malice.

I mean given all the pain, suffering and murder that went in to performing the ritual to revive Elaine, I wouldn't doubt there's probably a bit a Malice energy there. But it's probably not on the level of what we see from Shadow Hearts Covenant and From The New World characters for whom it's their main power source.

Koudelka in her game is definitely a lot weaker and not as experienced compared to her Manga self or Shadow Hearts self.
