I don't ban for this instantly as I'll give people grace periods if they don't get the memo (not everyone knows this place is supposed to be somewhat work friendly) but please for the love of god do not test my patience and play games with me.Man's about to get gulagd
Was it big or flatCan I just say, I love the fact that this mad lad Limu&Doug came back, changed his profile pick to a naked vietnamese cartoon chick, breasts and nipples exposed, and he didn't immediately get clapped for it?(He might get a warning soon, but the fact he's gone on even this long with that pic is impressive)
This card is not inspiring. Obviously we're in the infamous post-WrestleMania slump but I would have hoped for a little less phoning in from Triple H. There's nothing about this that screams must-see. AJ vs. Cody should be good on its own but the entire thing screams filler.Might as well give my Backlash predictions.
Kabuki Warriors vs Bianca Bel Air and Jade Carghill - WWE Women's Tag Team Championships
The way they're building up Jade especially, I don't see any way Jade and Bianca don't win the match. The only way the Kabukis walk out with the titles is if they DQ themselves but, considering they're the only current champions to have had their belts for more than a month, odds aren't good on them keeping the belts.
New champions.
Baylee vs Naomi vs Tiffany Stratton - WWE Women's Championship
This could go one of two ways, both of which end with Naomi taking the L. Either Baylee retains, which would be my preferred option so they can keep building Tiffany up until she inevitably takes the title, or shenanigans happen to allow Tiffany to win here. I just think Baylee needs to hold it a bit longer while keeping the rivalry going before Tiffany beats her 1v1 for it.
Baylee Retains, Naomi gets pinned.
Damien Priest vs "Main Event" Jey Uso - World Heavyweight Championship
While even I can see from just a few weeks worth of material, that Jey getting a big boy strap is inevitable, I don't think this feud really has enough build up to give that win the weight they'll want it to have. I'd also like to see Damien keep the title longer anyway and actually get to look like a real champion before he loses it, we don't want another transitional Money in the Bank winner. With that said, I don't see him winning clean.
Damien retains via shenanigans.
Randy Orton and Kevin Owens vs The Bloodline
Fairly straight foward here, Solo's Bloodline need to win this to build to them vs Roman. Most likely it'll be where they debut another new Bloodline member, but either way they need to leave Orton and Owens out cold in the ring.
Bloodline Wins
Cody Rhodes vs AJ Styles - WWE Undisputed Championship
Most obvious pick of the night, Cody wins clean and this thing is a one and done before Cody moves on to someone else.
Cody Retains
Can't really disagree with that, The Bloodline stuff is the most relevant thing on the show, with the only thing coming close to that being a feud between two people who can't have a match yet because one of them is injured (Drew vs Punk). This card is not inspiring. Obviously we're in the infamous post-WrestleMania slump but I would have hoped for a little less phoning in from Triple H. There's nothing about this that screams must-see. AJ vs. Cody should be good on its own but the entire thing screams filler.
Yes well I don't know Jade beyond what I've seen in the last month's material for WWE so I don't know if she's gonna succeed or not but it is obvious they're all for her. I'd need to see her in the ring for longer than a minute at a time.Jade is going to be a massive flop but sadly this is one of those pet project cases where WWE needs to be hit hard by reality before abandoning it.
We'll be starting the stream earlier today with a few other goodies so we'll be at it for awhileWill definitely try to be on for Backlash at least.
