Giving Bayley the shaft for someone who isn't even THAT much more over than her at this point, was a really shitty thing to do.Given what HHH said about Bayley and peeps being mad about her getting the shaft at Mania(rightfully so), it wouldn't shock me if that was the plan.
Especially as Bayley already laid the foundation for this storyline with her visible frustration after losing to Lyra pre-Wrestlemania. With Bayley you could have actually had the turn AT Wrestlemania after losing there and not have to flip flop the titles to pull it off.
THIS felt rushed and only really works if you know Becky's history with Lyra. I get the appeal of having heel Becky and heel Seth at the same time (especially if they work together), but I'd have preferred seeing the rubber match for Bayley and Lyra with an actual storyline and heat behind it.
Like damn, this is the 2nd time I've gotten invested in a series Lyra was having with somebody (the first one being Iyo Sky) only for them to just move on at 1:1 and ignore it in favour of something else. Though at least Lyra is still involved in a storyline with a big name here and not being thrown into random tag matches with Damage Control or the Pure Fusion Collective.
That's an improvement at least, I just worry that this is Becky dusting out the golden shovel for a good old burial.
