Hard to argue/disagree with that. :maybe Caius was so awesome that even people who HATE FF13, acknowledge how good he is as both a character and a villain.

It's already a pretty unpopular opinion here that I really like Final Fantasy XIII and it's one of my favorite FF games, but after my recent play through, I think I can one up that with something more specific. I actually think Chapter 11 (ie the Gran Pulse chapter where the gameplay "opens up" and you get side missions, where most people say it "gets good/better" as it were) might be my least favorite part of the entire game. The simple fact is that it was the story, characters and the battle system that won me over to Final Fantasy XIII. While there is SOME good characters development in Chapter 11 (particularly for Hope, Light and Vanille) and lore to find, there are long stretches of NOTHING and during all this, the plot grinds to a screeching halt. The battle system can only carry the game on its own for so long. Not helped by the fact that your goal in the longest chapter of the game turns out to be a waste of fucking time (aside from visual and audio value of seeing Oerba...

That's 'cause it's a good show. Would recommend you watch Savers though. Once you get passed the inherent silliness of Masaru punching Digimon, it still stands as easily the second best Season of Digimon for me (only beaten by Tamers). Besides some of those punching moments are legit hype. :maybe

While I wouldn't say it's THE best (definitely the best english theme for a Digimon series though), that theme is still legit as fuck. :awesome MY controversial take with regards to Frontier is simply this: Digimon Frontier is as good, if not better than Adventure 01, I go back and forth on which is #3 and which is #4 for me. :maybe

Well the art-style thing is subjective, but personally I thought it was fine for that. Then again, something would have to be offensively bad looking for me to drop it based on the art style alone. I will agree characters and their interactions are the biggest selling points of the series, there's a reason I'm wearing an Artoria set now. I mean Shirou may be infinitely more interesting than Rin but, given I usually heavily dislike tsundere characters, it says a lot that I still like her anyway (mostly on account of her being a fucking savage when it comes to roasting people). And there definitely ARE breaks between exposition, so that shit's just plain wrong.

While I do think Ufotable fights look good, it was interesting watching a top 10 Fate fights video and seeing the Apocrypha fights, which looked purely hand drawn. And just from what I saw of those, they looked better. Pure hand drawn animation is always going to look better than CGI, or when you try to mix the two.

In fairness yeah, that's a good point. DMC 1 and 3 have always been and are still great games, they don't need a remake. DMC 2 is the one where the gameplay sucked, it's the one that needs a remake. Also adjust Dante's personality so he's more in line with everything else and isn't "stoic edgelord" for no reason, but otherwise the rest of the story does work. Besides they need to make up for not having Lucia in DMC 5 (she was in a novel or something but she wasn't in the game). How you gonna make all these references to the other games, including a clearly Majin inspired DT in Sin, but NOT include a playable character?

Never had the creativity to try and write anything, so I make do with reading fanfics even if it is hard to find good ones (though that is true of any medium/genre). I actually got to Volume 5 before I went "fuck this" and dropped RWBY like a bad habit. I can say you're lucky you didn't continue. :maybe

I mean is that really an unpopular opinion (here at least)? It's not hard to write a better story than the shit show we got. :maybe Hell I'm an MLP fan, but considering it was the fanfics got me into the show in the first place, I can't deny the same is true there.

Eh I still don't think it fits the design. You got an older looking woman covered in sick armour...who has a child like high pitched voice, it doesn't make any sense to me either way. Younger characters like Illya get a pass BECAUSE she is a child but it doesn't really work here.

God DAMN that design deserves better than THAT voice. :breh I mean I GUESS it's supposed to make her sound insane, since she's a Berserker but there are ways to do that without trying to make my ears bleed.

While I do prefer subs to dubs generally, I can absolutely agree the cutesy female Japanese voice can be grating. It's one of the reasons I prefer Orihime's english VA to her Japanese one.

I mean my set gives away one of the bigger ones, I am a Final Fantasy XIII fan and consider the trilogy to be among the better Final Fantasy games. I tend to prefer JRPG's to their Western counterparts and I'm also a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
