Funny enough I'd say GX probably did the best overall in terms of treatment of the side-cast, even if it would inevitably turn into the Judai show a lot of the time. Certainly had the biggest amount of strongly portrayed side-characters at the very least. Even Manjoume got a W over Edo at the end, Sho inherited the Cyber Dragons, Ryo has one of the best duels in the franchise, Austin drawing against the Supreme King, Johan in general etc. It was pretty good, except for Asuka not really getting much post-Season 2 but again it's Yugioh, we have to take what we can get for the ladies.

The best version of this dynamic post DM is IMO Yuma, Shark and Kaito from ZEXAL. I did like how both functioned as rivals and even antagonists for Yuma depending on what part of the series they were at. Not to mention Shark going back and forth win/loss wise against Yuma was pretty cool for a change, considering how rare it is for the rivals to get even one W on the protagonist.

I mean it's Yu-Gi-Oh, I'm not sure why you'd expect a female character to be treated well. It's not really a series known for it's good treatment of female characters.

Eh I thought that one was pretty bad too, then again I don't think Bleach ever had another good fight after Stark vs Seniors and Vaizards. That was the last genuinely good fight. Just a whole lot of meh. Improving the fights (slightly) is about the only thing I can reasonably hope for in terms of the anime version. Even top tier animation isn't gonna help if the content itself isn't very good.

Most of the fights in that arc were pretty shit though, Ichigo vs Mustache was just the top of the shit pile for it.

People can say what they want about Lucemon and Bagramon, but at least they're fucking THERE or at least their existance is known for their entire series. :maybe Admittedly Bagramon's battle is rushed and he got the "poke of doom" but Frontier's climax was all the better for the fact that Lucemon was always a thing. :awesome

I stand by what I've said before, they are Digimon Team Rocket, except without any of the entertainment value.

I know, it's fucking ridiculous. If the character doesn't have huge boobs, is over 5 foot, or at least has obvious curves, somehow it's equivalent to people wanting to fuck a child. As if adult women like this don't exist in real life. Like how people bitch about Chloe's loli status in Ghost Reaper Girl, yet Chloe doesn't look like any child I've ever seen and is directly stated to be 28 in the story. Or you got the blatant double Standards in Bleach, where somehow Rukia is not allowed to be considered pretty but Soi Fon is. Despite Soi Fon being just as small and just as flat chested. :breh
