The point of the "sexual harassment in the industry" scene is to establish Chloe as a "no means no" type of character who refuses to "bend the knee" This isn't a manga about ACTING. It's about an ACTRESS who discovers she has powerful spiritual abilities and decides to switch professions. No shit it doesn't linger on that point, the manga isn't about that. Also possession as a concept, is to take control of another person's body against their will (usually). Of course there's going to be a "rapey" connotation to it. What kind of comedic taste? Kai's declaration that he's a lolicon is met with scorn from even the evil spirits. And disturbs even Chloe herself. It's never treated as a good or humorous thing. It's a character flaw, Chloe even says "What a waste of a handsome guy" in response to learning it so. They're there to establish character traits for both our main characters here, in Kai's case a character flaw...

Those are from chapters one and two respectively so I know you saw them, since this is a review of chapters 1 - 3. So how exactly is her backstory undefined again? Because acting in and of itself was NOT her ambition. what she wanted was for people to take notice of her, to be known and to live a better life. She fully admits trying to get into acting was "silly", and at best it was a whim. She doesn't say it but I get the impression it was one of those choices that was fueled by a need to reach for something...

Ah the what about isms, that completely miss the point of the criticism. The issue with Bleach characters talking about their abilities is that there are SEVERAL instances where this directly leads to their defeat (where they could have won if only they kept their mouths shut). Specific examples include Shinji and Rose. It's not simply the act of explaining it that's dumb. The issue with Fairy Tale fights is that (AKAIK as I've never read it) is EVERY MAJOR fight. Meanwhile he can only point to one major example of it in One Piece, while trying to manufacture another one while ignoring the fact Luffy trained between Kaido fights (and is AFAIK still LOSING the rematch atm, even with help) Those are just the more egregious ones, everything he brings up in that sig is one shit tier what about ism after another. :maybe

Meanwhile the Rosario anime was bottom tier trash, probably the worst anime I've seen for a good manga. But holy fuck did it have a kickass soundtrack, this shit is still god tier. :awesome If only we'd gotten this soundtrack on an actual adaptation of the manga, shit would have been dope.

Twilight Sparkle in the redeeming protagonists section. Yeah tell that to the Show version of King Sombra that she and her friends completely disintegrated, Cozy Glow who she had thrown in prison and to all of the villain trio of Season 9 (Cozy, Chrysalis and Tirek) who were turned to stone. Twilight's perfectly okay with punishment if the villain shows no remorse. Also Goku in the "punish/murder" villains section. You mean the guy who spared Vegeta and tried to spare fucking FRIEZA, even after the latter had murdered the guy's best friend in front of him? 🤣 Ironically Kid Goku killed more but Adult only ever killed Kid Buu and even then, he hoped he'd be reborn as someone good, which he was. And are we just going to ignore the fact Yamcha, Tien, Chiaotzu, Piccolo and Vegeta were all initially villains who Goku ended up forgiving? These two really aren't much different on the treatment of villains camp, outside of Goku having a slightly higher body count.

Got it translated Ikeda's still recovering but he says he's regained a lot of energy and is starting to work on the script, so HOPEFULLY (fingers crossed) the chapter should come in two weeks. It feels a lot better just KNOWING you know. As long as it's about his health, he can take all the time he needs, he's earned that much from me at least.

SIGH I don't know at this point, MAYBE the chapter will be up later or be up by tomorrow. The thing that upsets me though is they put the post up, saying the chapter IS coming and then nothing. After people have already had to wait TWO MONTHS for this chapter. Well hopefully it's up by morning. If it's not, I'm probably in for another two week's wait at least. YAY.
