Circus of Humorous & Humiliating Arguments Part 3: Laugh Hard with a Vengence

One Piece has the issue most series like Bleach do, if you’re not sifting through the scans looking to connect relevant dots you can end up using the lowest end shit like the exaggerated stick figures and get fairly small sizes for shit Bleach could do the same with Las Noches compared to a very visible Nnoitra for example

https://onelastforum.com/ubs/bleach-feats-arrancar-collection.299/ I did more to validate an interpretation of Nel's 3 Day statement than most people ever bothered to try with. Still not the size of a nation, but it doesn't need to be for Lanza to be teratons, that just required I account for perspective of foreground vs background and surface area shit

If your contradiction is getting pegged by arrows, that’s not hyperbole, that’s just high and low ends. In the case of light novels specifically, it’s often not translated properly and was often just a generic “high speed” in japanese to begin with, so that’s still a non-starter There’s also the matter that “speed of light” has a specific scientific phrasing in the OG language, which, again, leaves the point moot and hyperbole is generally easy to sniff out there

There’s no to be fair about it That’s just lazy. Novels aren’t a visual medium so the description is king. Playing word lawyer and playing pretend that it’s flowery with shit like breaking the mountainside with a corpse for example is about as agenda driven and disingenuous as anything gets in this hobby. Short of Tolkien rising from the grave and telling us “it’s not literal bro” I’m going to give the nod to how the event is described.

. It gives EMIYA the feat of matching an EX ranked NP enough with all his Sword Bullets to not die from the impact of the remaining power of Enuma Elish he was not able to counter I will acknowledge this series exists solely because it’s EMIYA scaling fodder :maybe Because at the end of the day Miyuverse Shirou is just EMIYA or weaker

Generally speaking, if you can ice a universe it naturally follows you’re of fairly high order spatial manipulation too as that space it occupied no longer exists

Like, I don't even know what brought that on tbh I just posted a feat of Toph moving relative to sound moving through metal as a speed feat and he twists it into bitching about Demon Slayer downplay?

Circus of Humorous & Humiliating Arguments Part 3: Laugh Hard with a Vengence

Dunno (only really remember them being used in the Blue Spirit episode with those super archers, but I'm sure more cases exist), but that he gave away his hand by bitching about Demon Slayer gives me plenty to fuck with them with :hm

Circus of Humorous & Humiliating Arguments Part 3: Laugh Hard with a Vengence

Hasn’t Touma punched out concrete and sent some bitch through part of a building? What IRL fucker is dealing with any kind of fictional battle story human? Fucking Angel no Densetsu is comfortably super human (that slice of life about the nice kid with the scary mug), let alone an ongoing fantasy LN character

. It has some decent popcorn like their fanfiction section imo, but I can also read an over 500K word EMIYA/Mass Effect crossover and not be bored, so no need to listen to me :maybe And yes, the author did seem to burn out and off the internet before even setting up the events of the first Mass Effect :skully Man off the Moon was a bloated mess and I was here for it~ Teh Chron was reading it too IIRC

Circus of Humorous & Humiliating Arguments Part 3: Laugh Hard with a Vengence

Yeah, here its pseudo precognition because they see the muscles and movements and use their dilated senses to vaguely predict how the fucker will move. You don't need the anime for that, Emiya's shit isn't filler to the VN :maybe And no, being treated like a nobody would entail he's wholly repelled rather than trading blows.

https://onelastforum.com/threads/the-blood-moons-demon-slayer-vs-phantom-troupe-hunterxhunter.3460/post-195026 Also wouldn't say that much. The best in the series do exceed what it'd take to be bullet proof

Circus of Humorous & Humiliating Arguments Part 3: Laugh Hard with a Vengence

I mean it does dialate time to some modest degree while active IIRC, so that's neat enough. Beyond that its a severely taxing to continuously use if your name isn't Yoriichi IIRC.

Isn't it just a shittier sharingan? That was always my take away from KnY.

Circus of Humorous & Humiliating Arguments Part 3: Laugh Hard with a Vengence

When your series best feats are creating a couple dozen meter tall statue of water and freezing it instantly, surviving an explosion that at best encompassed an AOE of part of a hill/mountain side that still mutilated the out of them, and the destruction of a 1920s era red light district you have some pretty slim pickings to discuss. Especially when derailing a train in death throes is the next best feat thereafter. Could just keep it to the OG VN and still have more to work with in Saber splitting the sky and vaporizing the lake the Grail Mud filled which still trumps every feat in KnY even without considering the durability of Chaos Tide. Match that with the good ol Excalibur to Rho Aias and God Hand scales and this is murder :maybe

And never let it be said I don't codify that shit too :maybe vs Padding/Forced Drama (Final Fantasy VII) Here, Cloud Strife struggles to break free of the grip of Dio's security mecha at Gold Saucer long after fighting and defeating far larger and more powerful examples of technology. Here, Cloud Strife and company struggle to lift a thin piece of sheet metal off Cid Highwind because he needed to learn a lesson about not being a jerk or something. vs Padding/Forced Drama (Final Fantasy VII Remake) Here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and here, various examples of padding and forced drama that ignore Cloud Strife is acrobatic and swings a slab of steel heavier than himself like a butter knife.

Circus of Humorous & Humiliating Arguments Part 3: Laugh Hard with a Vengence

vs Cloud Strife and Friends (Final Fantasy VII Remake; Unknown) For reference? Here, Sephiroth absorbs the power of Meteor as some kind of power up before the final battle. Sephiroth displays both manipulation of the debris of the destroyed cityscape and the weather via his telekinesis. Because why not kill the illusion of power growth by having the party fight the original game's final boss at comparable or higher power to the last time they had to do so. Its not like they had over a month more of preparation or anything. Here, Sephiroth tosses the Shinra HQ Building and other assorted skyscrapers/debris at Cloud Strife and company via telekinesis. vs Cloud Strife (Final Fantasy VII Remake; Unknown) Here and here, Sephiroth chucks a large hunk of concrete debris at Cloud Strife. Tifa Lockhart and Aerith Gainsborough match and overpower his telekinesis via Limit Break Somersault or Sorcerous Storm respectively. But sure, I'm going to hazard a guess they bring up the Scarlet...
